You know say sometimes e go be like say na film, but na real life we dey talk so. My name na Chidi, born and raised in Aba, Abia State. Life no too smile for me, but man gats survive. I be tailor sorry fashion designer and I dey manage my mama old sewing machine to dey hustle small small.

Everything start one random evening for 2020 during lockdown. I just dey scroll Instagram after finishing work for one customer clothe wey nearly give me hypertension. As I dey scroll, na so I jam one fine babe page. Her name na Tomiwa, Babe clean die. You know those fine Yoruba babes wey get natural beauty, full lips and smooth chocolate skin? Na she be that.

I no even waste time I drop “🔥🔥” under one of her pictures. She reply with laugh emoji. I gree say make I enter DM. I just tell am, “You too fine. Abeg no use this fine oppress us wey dey Aba.” She reply me! That alone shock me. From there, we begin talk small small.

She tell me say she dey UK, born and raised for Peckham. Her parents still hold culture strong even though dem dey jand. Her dad na pastor, her mum dey do catering. As we talk more, I realise say this babe get brain join beauty. She sabi read person spirit. She no dey do “class” or form even though say I dey struggle.

Na so everyday chat turn to calls. From voice notes to video calls. Omo! Sometimes she go even watch me dey sew. She go say, “Aww, Chidi you’re so hardworking!” She start to dey ask me wetin be my dreams. I open up give am. I tell her say my papa don die since 2012, my mama dey manage foodstuff business, and me I just dey hustle with tailoring, but I sabi my work. I tell her say I wan go fashion school, even dream say one day I go get my brand.

Guess wetin? Babe shock me o. She say, “Don’t worry Chidi, I’ll help you.” First time I hear am, I say make she no dey whine me. But she mean am. She start to dey send me small small change. She say, “Use this to get better materials, show me what you can do.” And na so my small fashion brand start to blow.

We continue to dey bond. She go even send me books to read on fashion and business. Sometimes we go dey talk till 2am. Her younger brother Femi sef don dey call me “boda Chidi.” Her mum greet me on video call one Sunday like say I be family. “Chidi, we dey pray for you o.” Her popsy no too like Igbo guy at first (I no go lie), but Tomiwa dey always calm am down, tell am say I be good man.

Long story short, 2022 she come Nigeria for Christmas. Na there we meet face to face for the first time. Bros… pictures no do justice. She fine, soft, and she carry herself with grace. As I see am for MMIA, I no know when I talk, “Na God do this one for me.” Na so love rekindle, hotter than before.

She tell her parents say she wan marry me. Omo, her dad first vex, say she get better Yoruba boys for UK, why she wan carry tailor from Aba. But she stand strong. She say, “Daddy, Chidi is not just a tailor. He’s a man of purpose.”

Her mum support us die. Her cousins too, especially one wey dey Canada, Kemi, she dey always ginger am say love no get tribe. Eventually, her dad gree but with one condition: make I prove say I get plans and make I treat her well. I promise am like say I dey do oath for shrine.

By mid 2023, she start visa process for me. She carry am for head like say na she dey relocate. She no even let me stress too much. She find agent, gather documents, everything legit. January 2024, I land Heathrow. Na cold wan finish me, but as I see her for airport with thick jacket and one small placard wey read "Welcome my Igbo King", I melt like Agege bread inside tea.

Fast forward to today, July 2025, we don marry. Court wedding plus traditional for her family house in Ibadan. Her family come round fully. I get my own workshop now for London. My fashion brand dey grow fast. Her younger sister now dey model my clothes. Even her popsy dey wear my senator styles go church.

We dey live our best life now. But I never forget where I from. I still dey send money go house, I open small shop for my mama. I dey mentor boys for Aba too.

So if you dey read this, and you dey doubt say love fit happen online or say rich babe no fit fall for broke guy na lie! As long as your heart pure and you get purpose, God go use person bless you.

Love no get tribe. Na understanding, respect and real intentions matter.

My Yoruba angel changed my life. And every morning I wake up beside her, I thank God say I press follow that day.

That's the end of my story! Guys, as long as your intentions are genuine, no worry, you go find love! And to be sincere, this kind of love doesn't cost a thing. I began to look at my ex one kind eye! Like, this is the purest form of love I've ever received.
