What if you were born complete and capable of handling your business on your own but were mind-raped into believing that there is some man out there to make your life better than you can do it all by yourself? All of this energy you seem to pour into finding someone out there— probably more energy than most women who are currently married(many of them unhappy, by the way) put in—, don't you think you would benefit a lot more by focusing it all towards you and your peace? undecided

I understand your angle but my perspective is that as a woman even if you were born complete or you fill capable you still need a man in your life because you can’t do it all by yourself sincerely speaking , even in the scriptures it is expected of a man and a woman to become one flesh and it is ordain by God

Just as a woman need a man , a man need a woman to fulfill God plans and not just any spouse like you said the one you will through in good and in bad times and fight every storms together and build a legacy together not for yourself but your generation

You are right I put so much energy into it and I hope I find him and he finds me

Much love

1. You still need a man in your life for what exactly? Please, don't hold back! Honestly state what it is you are thinking. I want to know. What are some of these things you feel you cannot do for yourself? undecided

2. How can that be the case when statistically about 50% of men and women in every generation live and die without ever becoming one flesh as supposedly ordained by your deity? Does this make sense to you that your deity would ordain a thing, and it turns out that half of the time, that ordination never really pans out for about half of the people? Doesn't that make the god who supposedly ordained such a thing seem a colossal fool? undecided

3. I see that all you are packed full of even at this point in your development is nothing but religious gobbledegook, which sort of explains a lot about why you felt to create this particular thread here. 😩😩😩😩

4. What I see is instead a lady who is yet to discover her true strength as a human and a woman. It is not wrong to date or go out to meet people, but I think what is much better than all of that is focusing one's energy and strength on building oneself up... learning to love and cherish oneself a lot more. If and when love finds you, then great, but if not, still great. undecided

Different views and perspective

Once again I appreciate your concerns

I already have self love for myself but that does not mean because you have self love you can’t love someone

Love is essential in human existence

And some of us are positive that the love will happen

Only a matter a time

Let’s do what work for us

Didn't you open a previous thread on this already? What about the guys who contacted you from it?

All I'm seeing here is that you're simply staying in your shell. You're an introvert, I get it — but try stepping out a little. You'd be surprised how many men out there are genuinely looking for a serious woman to settle down with.

But wait — didn’t you say you weren’t open to a long-distance relationship? So what exactly brings you back to Nairaland again? Just curious… are you looking for something different now, or still on the same page?
Re: My Dating Profile by Wordsfrombimpe(op): 9:49am On Jul 12, 2025
A woman wanting to get married is desperate

A woman who don’t want to get married is a feminist

A woman who don’t marry is bad character

Societial and personal views

Let everyone do what works for them
Re: My Dating Profile by Wordsfrombimpe(op): 9:50am On Jul 12, 2025
They are not serious

Still on the search

Someone ready to settle in three month

Thanks for your concern

I do step out once in a while but yet to see any so far

I don’t want to do long distance and I didn’t say I am open to long distance

I did long distance for two years it didn’t work they were time waster and not intentional

So What makes you think the people you're sharing your profile with here will even be around you physically? Let me be honest with you—when it comes to relationships, one thing you must understand is that they require sacrifices. Whether it's distance, time, or effort, you’ll have to give up something. Love doesn't always come wrapped in convenience. If you're truly serious about building something meaningful, be ready to compromise, be patient, and be intentional. That's the truth many people don't want to hear.
Re: My Dating Profile by Wordsfrombimpe(op): 10:03am On Jul 12, 2025
There is a difference between patience & wasting your time

That’s why as a woman it’s key you stick to an intentional man than a time waster

I have been there

Untill you are in my shoe you will understand

I don’t recommend it for any lady to waste her time

May God help us in meeting our spouse

90% of people online aren't genuinely intentional. Many are just there to pass time, chase validation, or play mind games. That’s why discernment is important — whether online or offline, always watch actions, not just words.

If you want to settle in one year that’s your choice

I chose 3 months

There’s no such thing as what’s the rush

There is no manual to this love

Long duration relationship don’t guarantee success

More of intentional people than time wasters

NotOfThisWorld:
Settle in 3-month? What's the rush? You want to marry somebody you don't know? You're in Nigeria where people are extroverted and there's always a social event to attend. Why not find someone that way? Or ask your family and relatives?

1. A delusion isn't really a view though. undecided

2. You don't need to work on trying to convince me at all. I am just asking that you build on your self love as these things are hard to hide. 🥱🥱🥱

3. First of all, love is also multidimensional. Second, if you already believe you love yourself why are you then looking for more love elsewhere? Could it be that you don't love yourself enough? 🤔

Anyways, my particular thing is your posting your private information on a forum like this. it just screams a message that you may not wish to be associated with anyone you love. undecided
