patrickmuf:They should just be careful who they move for. Martinez IMO has started dipping in terms of performances. He has 4 years left on his contract and is already on 150k per week. The fee won’t be cheap and the salary won’t be cheap either. It makes sense only if we are able to sell Onana. |

akwesenana:Not necessarily old for a GK but I think his level dropped a bit last year. His aura, charisma and penalty stopping heroics might be skewing people’s perception about him. Main thing is that we can’t afford to have both Onana and him combining to guzzle a salary of 300k or more every week. |

patrickmuf:Vitek did really well on loan. In the best of worlds Onana would be a competent GK and Vitek would be going on another loan in the Championship to develop him even further. I am not sure he is ready to play for us but I guess the coaching staff will assess him during the preseason and decide on the next step to take. If we were flush with cash, I would advise sending him on loan, selling Onana for peanuts and getting a top replacement. The problem is that we need those transfer funds in other positions cos we are as broke as they come. |
