Some parents can't help but over pamper their children. I have two boys and I hardly chastise them because I have deep soft spot for them.
My wife often is the one that administers disciplinary measures and I find her method uncomfortable at times.

The issue I've with the so-called antagonism towards Gen-Zs is: how is Nigeria better if the older generations are better disciplined? Nigeria is a classic example of how elderly people destroyed the country's economic growth. The majority of the heinous crimes committed by Nigerians across the world aren't by dem Gen-Zs, but older folks. Na Gen-Zs dupe American government and companies of Covid-19 funds? Was it Gen-Zs that hid foreign donor palliatives from ordinary Nigerians?

Socalled disciplined elderly folks aren't better and are in my books way worse than the Gen-Zs. No be Gen-Zs spoil Nigeria. They met it that way.

The trend of baby mamas and all social vices didn't start with Gen Z at all, same with cultism. Millennials and Gen X did WORST THINGS but hey! We're in social media dispensation so it looks like we're the most terrible out there.

some parents are all about i can do this myself i am not old, get out of my way.

some may even criticize the child for not carrying the cake in a certain way

So, growing up, they messed things up and even raised many of the hoodlums and damaged elements who are now parents to the Gen Zs you all can't stand, and after all that age transformed them into individuals with good characters? 😂😂😂😂

2. But what you are invariably saying is that the grandmothers and grandfathers whom you claim now have good characters failed to raise the mothers of these GenZers well; this is what you are finally admitting to.

3. They are decayed because their parents before them were also decayed. You can come from a good house and turn around to raise your kids terribly. No matter how hard you try, you will still end up doing a decent job, even if not as good as you were raised. Damaged parents raise damaged kids; the damage of the parents came from their own damaged upbringing.

4. Somewhere in this cycle are those grandmothers and grandfathers whom you now pretend are with good characters.

➜What job do you do? Have you conducted a research on this subject matter? I am talking from experience. I work with young people, I consult for NGOs, wẹ have interviewed people, agencies, we've done researches, I work with parents and their kids, we've done intervention activities.
➜ After all said and done, there's nothing wrong with the parents of the Gen Zs, they were raised well because their own parents were dutiful and responsible. Unfortunately, they couldn't raise their own kids the way they were raised because they've suddenly stumbled upon a new thinking, a feeling of wokeness, a fantasy that made them delusional raising rebels, social misfits and entitled young people. It's a pity!
