Ellexo:LooL. We all know you’re anti Amorim because your darling ETH was sacked. Amorim hasn’t had one proper transfer window but you want to throw him away. How much did your ETH spend in his first season? How many of the players he met on ground did your ETH improve? Better chill. |

Nitrogen envies the way Chelsea and Real Madrid fire and hire coaches but he doesn’t envy the way they buy and build squads with intent. LoooL. |

Leyqute:See this one forming like he wasn't a major shareholder in the Eth-Trust Holdings. You that was proudly waving the Eth flag till the last minute is trying to shame another person about Eth 😭 And yes I’m Amorim out with my full chest because nothing I’ve seen from him suggests he’s taking us forward. In fact, we only escaped relegation thanks to the points the man he replaced left behind. Someone that banished arguably our best attacker, signed two defenders in a January where we desperately needed goals and you want me to be patient because of what? Vibes and training pictures? And lastly managers are judged by what happens on the pitch, not fantasy transfer windows. |

Ellexy:LooL. I’ve always been a major shareholder in Operation back-the-manager, especially after Mourinho was sacked. Realized a long time ago that managers alone aren’t the problem. If we want to keep up, we have to keep strengthening our squad. You’re anti Amorim because the ETH you stuck with was sacked. You’ll only keep getting bitter because of that hate. Cos after Amorim is sacked and his replacement doesn’t get a good squad, there’s little chance he will make it. We go all out in one window and fall flat in the next instead of building up on the previous one. It’s a recurring theme. I just hope the same mistakes are not repeated this window. Cos once the window closes and the season starts, everyone will disregard how bad the TW was and be on the neck of the manager to perform magic. Rinse and repeat. |

Ellexy:You only do so much. The current crop of players have always flattered to deceive, you can choose to tell yourself otherwise but look at Antony, Garnacho, Rashford, Hojlund, Mount, Maguire, Shaw, Dalot and others to numerous to mention, have they done enough to make you think it's Amorim that is the problem? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dreamxhaser: 7:19pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
Before the window, we had reports of having 90-100m to spend with 60 spent on cunha that leaves at most 40m. That's not enough for mbeumo People thinking united are stalling over 2m and not the fact they dont have the money to spend are mad #Copied |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dreamxhaser: 7:22pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
After all this, lets say we end up getting Mbuemo, do we really think that we will have time to get a few more players in and out, considering how long we drag transfers out? Probably not So we end up with only Cunha and Mbuemo added. We would be going into next season with the same core squad, paying wages for players we dont want and the fanbase will blame Amorim and he will be gone by December and we will be back in the same cycle. Utter nonsense. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dreamxhaser: 7:31pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
Honestly, if I were Amorim, I would play complete counter-attack football next season, which is this player's strongest skill set. I promise you will finish in the top four. The season Erik ten Hag finished in the top four was because he quickly switched to a counter attack strategy in his first season after a few matches. We mustn't play beautiful football. Counter-attack is something that's very effective in winning tournaments like the UCL. As for the league, it will give us a comfortable top-four finish. With time, we can gradually readjust the squad to suit the style of play that would win the domestic league. |

Leyqute:I am anti Amorim because he's the worst manager I have ever seen manage us since I started supporting this club and it's not even close. The person he was sacked for kept us from being relegated. Now get that into your thick skuurrrs. I can understand backing a manager who has shown promise, but what promise have you seen from Amorim so far? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ellexy: 8:44pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
patrickmuf:The players aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. We’ve seen some of them leave and suddenly start balling elsewhere. So yes, while the squad has flaws, the real issue is underperformance and that falls squarely on the manager. If one or two players are off-form, fine. But when an entire squad turns to passengers week in, week out, it ceases to be a player problem, it becomes a coaching one. That’s exactly why ETH was sacked and everyone here agrees. Which begs the question, how did you guys go from sweating inside the frying pan… to now pretending fire is comfortable? People are now making excuses for the kind of things thought impossible under previous managers.... Was Eth sacked so we could actually go lower? If that was the plan, then it's working perfectly. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by ovoP(m): 10:23pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
Englishisamust:Correction chelsea bought players for their club. Chelsea don't go about buying players for coaches, they buy who dey feel is good and ask the manager to make it work |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 10:57pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
ovoP:That's why we are asking the club to buy players for the club |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 11:50pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
dreamxhaser:This is the flexibility we asked for last season. They said he won’t be able to switch back. We have backed managers with several new players in the past. At this time and given our finances, it’s impossible to do so, we can only do so much for now. The only reasonable thing is for Amorim to show workings and his mettle by hook or crook before we can go all out to change the squad for him. That guy and his supporters are just too rigid and stubborn/incorrigible. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 12:20am On Jul 16, 2025 |
Ellexy:If things were going so well for ETH, he wouldn’t have been sacked. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 12:22am On Jul 16, 2025 |
nitrogen:LMAO. Go all out like when you pursued Sancho for 2 years and eventually signed him for the asking price? Or when you panicked and bought Casemiro and Antony for big bucks after ETH lost consecutive games at the beginning of the season? LMAO. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 12:36am On Jul 16, 2025 |
Leyqute:Did we sign players for previous managers or not? Whether they were panic or expensive buys, we backed all our previous managers. Unfortunately, not enough funds this time, plus it seems the new sheriff is not a fan of sufficiently backing people that can’t show workings. |

I don't know wetin concern unaa with man u finances . I don't know whether some people dey work remotely as financial manager or accountant for man u.. make man u sign players that's all we want. By now we should have buy 2 solid midfielders and one keeper with one more attacker.. Na old cargo like casemiro u go still see for line up in the opening match and u go tell me one manager will perform miracle with this team!!!... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 7:03am On Jul 16, 2025 |
nitrogen:If you “backed” previous managers, Mourinho wouldn’t be crying during press conferences for new signings. But that’s even beside the point. Don’t sign players for managers. Sign players for the club. Buy new players. That’s the koko. So that when you sack Amorim, the new guy can be better off. |

Ellexy:Who are the players that left and started balling? McTominay? Lol...We all saw him at United, he is just there. Who else? Rashford? Antony? They were so good that Villa and Betis didn't buy them for less than half their market value? Nobody is making excuses for Amorim...We are asking the management of the club to back him up in the transfer market like other clubs are doing, so that he doesn't have any excuses if and when he fails... Imagine a Spurs fan arguing that since they won the Europa League, Thomas Frank should work with players at his disposal rather than sign Kudus and Gibbs White...Won't you think the fan is mad? |
