We made that Algerian and Bostwana GK shine sha. They're good anyway.

I hope we gbera this KO stage, our route to the final is via Southern opponents.

Morocco have the easier route to the final.

I fear this passing deficiency. Algeria showed us they can bypass us easily with triangular passes and cheeky 1-2 passes to beat whatever press and create large spaces. We need to stop the crappy 2on1 marking we did in the group stage. Dem go too suffer our ladies if we don't fix up this aspect in the middle and defense. The attack still got good passes sha.

It wasn’t that prevalent with Alozie, Ohale and Plumptre though. I don’t think those ones do the 2 on 1 marking like the home based defenders.

What criteria did they use to compile this?

Most non-Nigerian pundits are picking Zambia to beat us. Is Zambia that good?

The few I’ve seen picked Nigeria.

Banda is a great threat but the Zambian defense is susceptible.

From the games, Zambia have always struggled defending set pieces. We should capitalize on that weakness too and train on scoring from set piece.

My biggest worry is Barbra Banda. We should dedicate 2 quick ladies to woman mark her. Kudananji is not a real threat but we still can't ignore her pace and finishing abilities.

Whatsoever will be in our midfield setup, Echinigini should be in the in the mix due to her creativity.

Though an unpopular opinion...I think Frannie should start from the wings. Her experience and trickery will be pivotal to unlocking the Zambian defense.

Zambia will be difficult, but may God give us the day.

Bro, na Zambia Una dey fear like this? Dedicate 2 players to who? All Zambia has is counter attack, all other departments from midfield, defence and goal keeping is Zero. We should win this easy. My only fear is the starting 11 Madugu will commence the match with.

I share in your optimism Bro, however I feel it won't be an easy win for the girls. But we will win coz we have more departments working for us. I just hope the coach gets his tactics right to neutralize all their fire powers.

Attack - B3
Midfield - C6
Backline - E8
Goalkeeper - E8

As compare to Super falcon
Attack - E8
Midfield - C6
Backline - C4
Goalkeeper - A1

If you ask me, I will tell you they ain't better than Us with RIGHT SELECTION
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by QueenJazz(f): 3:28pm On Jul 17, 2025
I'm sorry but I'm not going to buy into the optimism. The SF performance so far simply doesn't inspire me to do so. I won't even watch the full 90 mins. Plus, I'd honestly prefer to be wrong tomorrow and have people come here to say, "I told you"

I don't trust Madugu's strategic approach.
I don't trust our capacity to finish.
I don't (fully) trust our defense.
And I definitely don't trust our PK chances. Nnadozie will most likely turn up, but besides that idk...

Whoever wins this game though, it will be a close fight. That I'm sure of.

OSASU: You have used 20 players in your three #totalenergieswafcon2024 games so far. Why has Chioma Okafor, who took the place of @GiftMonday21 in this @NGSuper_Falcons team, not been dressed or fielded?

Justine Madugu: She has a medical problem, an injury to her hand. The Doctor said she should not play for 12 days. This is why. We are hoping that she will be fit enough to play a role in the latter stages of the competition.

For those of you who have been asking me about Okafor, this is why she hasn’t played at the #WAFCON.

Ordega and Toni should start. Ordega will make their LW come back to defend more and therefore makeit just Banda all alone with Ohale and Tosin to deal with.

We choke that Ordega win and switch fast to an in running Plumptre and Esther/ihezuo.

I however can't say they won't score us. Awry levels is higher and if we survive Zambia, Southie fit use passes kill us if we don't fix up now. Can we best Mothlalo after 3years?

They will pick everybody to beat us until the competition ends. We have won so much in the continent that they are sick of us.

This is the reason why the Zambians are proudly making all those noises 👇.

Halimatu Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe have only one job 2moro and they must not fail…..

I would have picked Fransisca Ordega to start from the Left flank as well considering she’s very strong and quite fast as well, she can deal with their RB and allow Plumptre forward a little bit…

If not for OSINACHI Ohale age, I don’t think Barbra Banda is anything to worry about consider the caliber of Fast and Physical Strikers Ohale have handled in the past…

We also have a dependable Halimatu Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe who can minimize their threat as well considering how they thrive in this kind of Physical games..

My Problem is our combination upfront… Ajibade must play from the wing, bench Toni Payne as she might struggle in this kind of physical game..

Babajide/Franny — Ihezuo/Oshoala — Ajibade

Then remove Echegini when she’s tired and move Rash to the Midfield later, bring in Esther to the right wing… Or you can as well move Rash to the Left and bring in Abiodun to the seal up the midfield…

The set up against England at the last World Cup is good enough to run them down, only Kanu that’s currently not in the team…!

Zambia Players that look like men…

14• Ireen Lungu
19• Xiomara Mapepa
20• Racheal Nachula
25• Prisca Chilufya
7• Fridah Mukoma
9• Kabange Mupopo
11• Barbra Banda
17• Racheal Kundananii

Upfront combo

LW-Rinsola
CF-Ihezuo
RW-Ordega(sub Esther in for her or shift Ajibade to RW and let Ordega go off for Echegini, then Esther for Rinsola in that case)

Normally, if not for that finger injury that seem like an excuse for Chioma, I'd like to see her come on.

With a 4123 approach
Where Toni/Echegini and Ajibade play that 2. With one of Ucheibe/Ayinde behind them(obviously Ayinde)

I saw the Zambia coach statement about Unity. It was hilarious but it made one think our squad are having some division. Lol

But Fransisca Ordega is greedy oh. She wants her name on the score sheet by all means. See the chance that was thrown away because she refused to pass to Ihezuo, and instead did a funny 360*. Okoronkwo would not have done same.
She needs to get it out of her head that she needs to prove a personal point. We don't really care, all we need is a goal, present the ball to the person with the best chance of scoring.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 2:24am On Jul 18, 2025
If Nigerian falcons bring players with jersey numbers 13, 14, 18 and 21 to the game, there is 75% chance Zambia will win the match. In addition, if the falcons players failed to properly trap the ball and seek out teammates in better position to score, the odd increases in the favor of Zambians.

Today makes it the 13th day since the commencement of WAFCON 2024, Madugu should cap this Okafor girl. She may be the joker he is talking about. Hope todays game will not go into penalties ooo. We need to finish this game within 90 minutes.

New comer, wellcome.
14 Dimenhin and 18 Ayinde are sure starters.
My predicted lineup:

---++±------++Okoronkwo
--Babajide-----Echegini-----Ajibade
------------Ayinde---+Ucheibe
Plumptre--Dimehin---Ohale--Alozie
--------------+++Nnadozie

Ihezuo and/or Payne might play instead. Depends on Coach's analysis .

If she's fit, she'll get minutes.
But just goes to show money and it's influence on selections in Nigeria. Cos this is just giving all vibes of Tinubu and medical tourism. Where the ill-fitted get the juicy positions as far as they can press the right buttons.

Walahi I miss Randy. He will never take an unfit player to a tournament.
And if by chance the injury was found out before first game, player would be replaced ASAP.
But of course money has changed hands and Chioma Okafor must stay make money for no loss.
