Zambia have made themselves way too predictable and it seems Madugu studied them well..

Their defence is wack......their only style is to boot long balls to Banda and Kuandanaji... Our defense have so far done well in keeping the duo quiet..
Excellent game so far....

I expect Zambia to come out more in the second half.. Madugu should introduce Ucheibe and Abiodun to lock up that midfield
He just did that.

Ucheibe, Abiodun, and Osoala have been subbed in.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Danielnino00(m): 6:45pm On Jul 18, 2025
It's a shame that Oshoala is no longer in her prime..
She would have scored these two decent chances that have fallen to her so far
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 6:46pm On Jul 18, 2025
Oshoala is finished.

This thing hard me to type but i have to. That's the wackiest decision making for a player of her calibre. Otilo.

Madugu should sub Ijamilusi off. These are ladies now. Why are Ajibade and Ijamilusi still on the pitch? They're not men o, Madugu.

Their middle is non existed. And with how we complain about our own middle, it shows how terrible theirs is.

It's truly painful, Oshoala is washed. I'd be surprised if this isn't her last tourney for the SF.

Really Painful Watching Oshoala.... I watched all her Bay Fc games last season and this season (She's been largely relegated to the bench 2nd half of last season and the whole of this season).... Some of her Bay FC games i watch, i end up turning it off.

Can't pass, can't run, can't control the ball (And this is baffling, given that she started off as a midfielder), can't do anything on the pitch....She's basically occupying space.

So Sad 🙂‍↔️😔

FULL TIME: A master class....5-0, South Africa, you number is next, well they have to win first...

Best game of the tourney for the Super Falcons, so far! I’m also impressed by the fact that they’re the only team yet to concede a goal!
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CornOak(m): 6:59pm On Jul 18, 2025
SF Tournament Stats

✓ 9 goals scored
✓ 0 goal conceded
✓ Recorded the highest goal in a match
✓ 4 players scored their first goals for Nigeria

Someone was hyping up this Zambian coach when she was head coach of the Ghana Women National team and also when she took over as the Zambian Women Coach. All because Ghana FA was uploading 720p, 1080p images 😂😂😂

Impressive display by the Super Falcons. Have to give it to Madugu, he did the one thing he was supposed to do- get the right lineup and they delivered.

Everyone person did their but will like to highlight Alozie. Super impressed by Alozie today. She made all the right decisions. The last goal was because she made just the right pass.

Player of the game for me should have been Esther Okoronkwo, but not angry at Ajibade getting it.

Looks like we are playing South Africa next depending on how their game goes.

Going forward she's here for the hype. That's my stance after this tournament

I don't think she's a terrible coach, she just misjudged her personnel. Zambia doesn't have a good team. They've largely depended on their attackers and it just won't work going forward. She needs to go scout for players that will complement that attack.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 7:06pm On Jul 18, 2025
Banda should switch nationality to Naija abeg😂

She freely handed the game over to Nigeria the moment she played 3 at the back while relying on counters.

Anyone who has watched her the last 3 years knows this. This didn't start in Bay FC, it's been the case since her time in Barcelona. It just became more apparent as time went by. She'll obviously have one or two games were you see some semblance of her brilliance but if she plays well enough you'll know Oshoala is done.

I however still think she has a new role in the team till at least the next world cup. I think she can take her place as a leader in the team and help mentor the young core we have. I also think she needs to leave America and go to Saudi Arabia to make the most of the later part of her career. Sincerely doubt she'll get a contract renewal with Bay FC.

She's so bad she isn't even deserving of being a squad member.

Football has left her completely.

Just hoping that she's started working on her professional coaching license.
