Even this leadership role that lovewins want her to play i don't really see it. Ayinde and Ohale seem more poised to play that role IMO

Whose goal do you consider the best and goal of the match?

1st goal (Ohale)
2nd goal (Okorokwo)
3rd goal (Ihezuo)
4th goal (Demehin)
5th goal (Ijamilusi)

Not true.

She remains the most respected amongst her pairs. Ask an average new entrant to the team and th first name they mention is Oshoala. She also largely been a great bridge between the foreign born contingent and the Nigerian born ones.

The Ohale and Ayinde angel is also laughable. They are players who don't want big roles in the team. You have to understand that the reason Ajibade is captain today is because people like Ohale didn't want the responsibility. That's not to say they are irresponsible, not at all, but I think they prefer leading from their roles.

Oshoala has a big voice in the team, one that her colleague respects, and I also think she deserves to leave the team in style and the best place to do that is at the World cup.

For me, it was the third goal by Ihezuo.

✓Good anticipation of the mis-nodd from the Zambian defender.

,✓Good acceleration and run through to get to the ball.

,✓ Good stamina and upper body strength to body check the Zambian defender and chest the ball forward

✓ Perfect placement and execution for the goal.

It's a centre forward's dream goal.

Voice yeah i agree with that. There are sides to her that is valuable to this team and now it is down to many off-pitch going forward but i still don't see it. Influential, true, but to impact to next gen? Naaah.

That connecting header by Demehin for me. She rose high and nodded the ball where she wanted it to be with power. Considering how terrible we are at such lately, that was stunning from Tosin.

The Quarter Final stage is now set

Nigeria v Zambia
Morocco v Mali
Algeria v Ghana
South Africa v Senegal

May God help our Super Falcons to scale through as they battle the 'men' in Zambian team
And the women showed why they stay superior to the "men"

only 2 shots on target conceded in 4 matches

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Samueltemi337(m): 8:28pm On Jul 18, 2025
BTW we had a clear penalty in this match they didn't even bother to check
The officiating so far in this tournament has been awful

Hardrive:
If we are going to win against Zambia, we would need to play a counter attacking game. If we do that we win and avoid what happened against Botswana and morroco.
If the coach continues playing the typical Nigerian football, then nothing for us. This way the Zambians would be forced to come out and play thereby exposing their terrible goalkeeper.
Counter attacking game bawo. We passed the crap out of them. Lol... we were far mmore assured and more effective in possession vs Zambia's many back and side passes.

Their passes into our final third yielded zero result.

Lol

that lady that officiated today also officiated us in 2022 and she was so so terrible that they switched her to lineswoman after that game till end of tournament. Be like she don become top rank after 3 years. Her officiating is still as terrible as 2022s. Luckily, we avoid her till the final now.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m):
We may likely not concede a goal till the final. Any attack that enters our defensive third dies an early death.

All of you guys bashing Azizat did not watch Olympics last year
You guys should leave 5 times African player of the year alone
I think Ajibade will win African player of the year if we lift the trophy
They may give Chebbak player of the tournament again
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 8:56pm On Jul 18, 2025
Interestingly, Ijamilusi scored the Super Falcons’ 185th WAFCON goal

And the 5-0 win over Zambia was the Super Falcons’ 48th WAFCON victory (excluding penalty shoot outs )…
