I watched just 20 minutes of the match and the only thing I see is that Bruno Fernandes is a liability to effective forward progression. No mind my diction... I don't know how else to say this

This looks like a highlight of last season. Losing control of midfield to every opponent, difficulty making passes and creating chances. We don’t have the players to deal with this 2v3 midfield. This 343 formation or whatever Amorim is doing is not working for us and he has no plan B

This might sound crazy but only BIG Sam can rescue Manchester united from relegation 😅

If this team doesnt do well, be sure it is as a result of Bruno's misplaced forward passes whose accuracy seems to be less than 35%. He is a pure definition of ineffectiveness.

It's the coach o. Bruno can't be blamed for the team's failure. If Bruno is a problem he should use someone else.

Hojlund always wrestling defenders ffs..Never focused on the ball..I don't know why he isn't part of the people to be sold..

......not impressed with first half. Leon is completely off and caught ball-watching more than once. Shaw shouldn't be starting as LCB if Heaven is fit. Mazraoui shouldn't be starting as RCB too, if Yoro is fit.

Bruno should forget attacking role. He should be pairing with either Mainoo or Ugarte/Casemiro. We need a solid GK asap!

I wanted Bruno sold because i didn't see him fitting into the system judging from last season, but United rejected £100m for him because Amorim didn't want him to leave. Bruno is an attacking midfielder in a 433 or 4231 formation, playing him in central midfield will not work in my opinion...

We will have to agree at some point that 343 is not working for us, or maybe it could work with Mbeumo on the right and a big strong bully striker like Aghehowa.

The defence struggles to bring the ball out ( apart from Heaven and Yoro). the midfield struggles to secure the ball or move it along crisply (apart from maybe Mainoo on occasion), and the attack struggles to create clear chances.

Just for fluidity sake we have to start Heaven and Yoro. Maz and Shaw are too timid on the ball.

For the same reason I would start Maguire over de Ligt for now. Defensively there is not much gap between them and on the ball Maguire is more progressive and courageous than de Ligt. All de Ligt wants to do is pass back to the keeper.

Diego Leon is still raw and needs work.

Cunha is going to be a good contributor.

Well, I hope the attack will improve with the introduction of Mbeumo. Bruno should have been sold, that money would have been very useful.

Yeah. That money would have been so useful.

It would have sorted most of our PSR and cash problems.

I think Mbeumo will definitely improve the attack but we need a CF still and I suspect that CM will be the major problem this season.

Still early days so let’s wait and see how things unfold.

Mainoo looks a tad faster. Dorgu, taller. He’s still ahead of Leon due to his superior positioning. He keeps getting into good positions but his final balls still needs a lot of work.

Yoro is very good on the ball and he just keeps on improving. And Mantato looks like he was tailor-made for this formation like Afrodoc said.

Pre season.
However from what I watched today,Amorim has failed to impart anything to this team despite the banishment of five players in Rashford,Antony,Sancho,Malachia and Garnaxho.
No matter the amount of spin by Amorim’s optimistic supporters this is not going to end well for Manchester United or Ruben Amorim.
December at the latest.
