M7even:
There are birth rights in sports. And this is made possibly by many factors such Genetics, to history to environment condition and socio-economic factors.

Nobody competes with Kenya and Ethiopia for gold medal at the Olympics in the long distance . It's more or less a birthright to them. If you needed to win such without representing those nations, you must at least be of that bloodline like Mo Farah the British athlete who equally has an East African roots

There was a time Angola dominated Africa basketball and the rest of Africa looked on, until Nigeria first qualified for London Olympics 2012. And Dtigress have made a steady progress of winning a 4-pleat. To show that we are capable of dominating at least the women basketball.

The glory of national team football for Africa is with west Africa (Cameroon). Our birthright for falcon is the WAFCON. It is a total failure when we fail to achieve such.

The North Africans and south Africa have better resources for club football success, unfortunately ,we from west Africa can't compete with them there.

No country in Africa can compete with south Africa's springboks in rugby. They are world champions. Egypt will always be a force to recon with at table tennis and badminton.

So when the super falcons play, it's not because we are hard on them, it is because we have a standard to protect. We are 11 times champion, forget the mission X. This is our show others only attend. Just as Kenya and Ethiopia will always win the gold medals at the long distance. African national female football championship is our own birthright.
Thank you for this. Totally agree 💯

Besides, SA will not be all that hard on their team as they're defending champions. Something they no see in a long long while

Then one can't watch the years of Vera, Stella, Mercy, Florence, Perpetual, etc and not be pissed when rubbish is on display in the here and now when it comes to basics. Those ones wore agbada jerseys and yet the basics like shots and passes was not a big issue.

Nigeria 4 - 0 South Africa

Because of the smoke, flash or laser lights Moroccan fans could have on
Nigeria 2 - 0 Morocco

Mission X complète grin
Could arguably be the best Falcons ever if they don’t concede

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by joxxy01(m):
Bayana have regressed, though not too badly. Their current first 11 is made up of mostly Memolodi Sundowns ladies whom Edo queens walloped at the CAF championship. Nothing special about them again, just a packaged Botswana.

But Ajibade will most likely win African player of the year if Nigeria is crowned champions

I expect her to replicate that Cameroon lone woman mopol performance vs SA on Tuesday. That will tip her to challenge the likes of Chebbak wey get better PR right now. I doubt SA will have a candidate this time. Ellis sef🤦🏽‍♂️

It appears Onome Ebi has officially retired.

Legendary career she had.

Congratulations to her.

Yes. I saw that tweet and didn't read much into it. But when I saw the Instagram post it signaled more to a retirement post.

Same too. She didn't take any hit or looked strained after the 5-0 sha so it might be some special training. No be she dey jump upandan during the "oyinbo" chants from the fans? Im sure she's great.

Lol. Hopefully so because the left back replacement we have was roasted by Portugal though she didn’t do badly against Algeria. Portugal use that girl shine until Plumptre came from the bench to calm things down on that wing.

This is why falcons should play more friendly games so that we have several games to judge new players.

it's been in Morocco since 1st game. Na customs hold am. It was cleared after the zambian win according to Osasu. But the ladies still trained without the kits which is surprising giving impression that it either hasn't gotten to them or na them decide to continue the white jersey usage, aspa e dey bring better luck.

Ashleigh unfortunately hasn’t registered an assist
Ajibade’s output is more than Ashleigh’s
No disrespect to Ashleigh though
Objective analysis no bias
They usually give the more offensive player that records goals or assists
Remember Ekong scored 3 important goals for Nigeria that’s why he got it last year
Chebbak is also a contender

So Chioma Okafor has successfully completed surgery on her arm. Might be available as a substitute in the next game or in the final.

Nigerians should not be under any illusions, the football match against South Africa will be a very tough encounter and will be keenly contested. Forget about the shambolic display of the Bayana Bayana against Senegal in the quarter finals, the South African girls will come out guns blazing tomorrow. The Falcons need to maintain the same standard they showed against Zambia and be focused; hopefully, they will come out victorious. Mission X is possible!

The only thing South Africa has over Nigeria is their National Anthem. grin

Their Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika anthem is easily top 5 in the world and even me wey no be S.African dey feel am wella.

Arise O' Compatriots wasn't bad too. It was a very good call to war and battle anthem but PBAT go get brain touch change am.

Now nothing to ginger and boost our gals morale tomorrow.

Exactly my thoughts. I can't count the number of matches we've had over the years where it looks like a no-brainer for us to win only for us to come back home empty handed. In my experience, we usually perform our best when we're written off and given next to no chance. The way Nigerians are hyping the Super Falcons after that Zambia match. Hmmm. I just dey take eye dey look.

Yo, what a dope thread! Super Falcons, Falconets, and Flamingoes in the spotlight—let's celebrate our queens of Nigerian football! I'm hyped to see profiles on the big names like Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade, plus the young guns coming up. Right now, I'm loving FIFA 23 on PS5 for some virtual football action—those Super Falcons kits are fire! What's everyone else gaming, and who’s your fave player to watch in these squads? Drop it below and let’s keep the vibe alive!
