Hello everyone, please I have a worry.

Have completed biometrics and submitted passport to VFS, then later realised I did not add a scan of all the pages of my passport as it was a new one and all pages are blank, only added the data page to my self uploaded documents.

Please should I be worried about this? Any responses will help, thanks
Don't worry. The copies are not required.

Why not? Any tie in Nigeria that gives them reason you would come back should be given.

Good afternoon guys.
Please I did my biometrics on the 8th July with a priority service. The processing time is 5 working days and till now nothing yet from UKVI. I received an email on the 16th of July that my application is under consideration, and till now nothing yet.
The its a business trip and my employer is sponsoring. The issue now is that the event has passed, the event held on the 19th. I'm a little worried, will the application still be considered and even after the event has passed?. Please any one with similar issue or advise on what to do? I'll really appreciate.. Thank you

Hi Gracey, please at what point did you pay for the priority service?
You can call the paid helpline or send them an email regarding your application.

Good day my people please I have a little problem, I applied for student visa and I was granted but my wife was asked to provide additional documents of relationship.
We both did our biometric on the 1st and I got my decision on the 9th. We've sent the additional documents but I don't no when to expect a decision as the 15 working days elapses today.
Does she still have hope?
When should we be expecting her decision. This is causing mental breakdown for her.

Please any info would help

Not needed.
Student visa is points based. Meet the points and you would get the visa.

Yes Debbiee. From the VFS portal

And there's no number or email address to reach.
I only did the priority so that I can meet up with the event date, but now the event has passed and nothing from them. It's really getting me worried

hey

this is a glitch.. i got this too - multiple times - even though i'm already in the uk

Davinton:
Good evening guys, i got this mail 3 times within an hour. It seems like a mistake as i did my biometric on 19th of May. Also, a subsequent mail was sent to confirm my application. I have been waiting for a decision since then. I dont understand why i am getting an e-mail to book an appointment for biometric. Should i be worried or it's just a technical glitch?

Even if the business meeting you were planning to attend has passed, your application will still be reviewed normally; however, the outcome of your application depends on the visa officer who is handling it.

Contact UKVI concerning your application status. You can use the link below to contact ukvi for updates.

https://ukvi.mysecurepay.co.uk/Details/ConfirmDetails

If I were you, I would also contact UKVI again after a decision has been made on your application.

Immediately after you pick up your passport, try to contact them to request a refund because you didn't receive the service you paid for. There is no crime in trying.

Hello house,
I am in the process of applying for a six-month visa to write Plab 2 in Manchester.

I am in a dilemma concerning the middle name on my documents.

My birth certificate issued by NPC (in 1997) reads Muri Abdul Akin while all my other documents (Passport, NIN, Degree Certificate, Plab 1, IELTS, Plab 2 booking etc) reads Muri Abdul Ope.

1. Is it necessary to attach my birth certificate as part of my evidence during the application process?

2. Will this disparity pose any threat or raise any red flags to my visa application?

3. If yes, how can I please resolve this?

NB: As typical of most Nigerians (esp Yoruba), I bear both middle names. As this is not a case of change of name.

Thank you 🙏🏾

You don’t need the birth certificate.

Biometrics 16th July, Decision arrived 21st July -- Standard visitor visa, 2 years. Thank you guys!

Hello. I submitted an application for my mom and I to attend my brother’s grad on July 28. We were waiting for the official invitation letter from his school and we assumed we couldn’t submit the application then. The letter came in on the 7th and we did our biometrics on the 9th. 15 working days would be July 30, past the grad date. Would this affect the decision greatly because they are yet to send a response and it’s looking like it might not come until after the grad.

Thank you

I got a refusal on a visit visa to attend my MD Son's wedding which was 100% sponsored by him but i was refused based that the VO said he was not convinced I was not going to work since i was going in the capacity of a personal assistant, the refusal letter came 5 days after submission after which my MD suggested we reapply again to address the reason raised by the VO. I reapplied and did my Biometric since 3rd July, since then, no response while someone that had biometrics for 2nd July already had her visa since last week monday and i am yet to receive any mail or response from UKVI. Do i need to be worried?

Hi wonderful people, I was initially refused of a visit visa, but, I reapplied, did my biometric on 27th June and just last Friday I got this messages on my email;

Dear Customer,

The passport and notification of the decision for GWF reference number GWF083407595 was dispatched via courier on 07/18/2025 20:02:13.

Visa Alert

I am happy to announce that I was finally issued a six month visiting visa. I was a first time applicant.

Thank you to everyone that contributed and still contributes to this platform. Your contributions were quite instructive.

Please, I tried to book my flight for end of August but I discovered that Royal Air Maroc is the cheapest. Please, regular travelers, is the Airline a good option?? All other Airlines are too expensive.

Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email.

AND

Please do you think my application was successful this time??

Also, how long does it take before the courier delivers my International Passport cos I already booked a visa appointment for 1st August for Schengen Visa just in case UK wan cast me again.

I am just anxious and haven’t been able to focus. I live in Port Harcourt and also did my biometric in Port Harcourt.

Is there a way I can track the movement of my passport to know when it will arrive in Port Harcourt??

I see a lot of people looking through the forum regarding UK visas.

They are not particularly difficult to get if you approach it in the right way.

I have a lot experience in UK visas, so maybe I can help, let me know.
