We need to be clinical in this game, we've missed two big chances so far. |

We are losing passes in the midfield and these South Africans are very fast |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:35pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
We are falling for S.A's plan the last ten minutes. Their plan really is to slow down the game as much as possible, get delays where necessary to eat into the time and get us out of rhythm and counter when they get the chance. |

After the first 15 minutes...The girls have been utter rubbish! They gotta wake up. |

In 135 minutes of knockout football, Nnadozie is yet to face an attempt on target 🤯 |

Really impressed with Folashade Ijamilusi. She's been very productive for us in this half. JOE needs to be more decisive and commanding. She's made a couple of schoolboy errors that shouldn't be. Our midfield also needs to watch out cause S.A have been strolling through it the later part of the game. |

Nigeria 1-0 South Africa Not bad, but we seem to have slowed down a bit, which is a bit understandable (fatigue). But I feel like South Africa are just bidding their time, slowing things down and waiting for a slip up. Or better yet, take the game to penalties where their star keeper can shine. We need to capitalize on this lead now! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by semid4lyfe(mod): 5:52pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
SA's passing game is good. Even in tight spaces they play those one two passes. But, I'm glad we go into half time with a 1 - 0 lead. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 5:54pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
We are ahead. The SA team hasn't been a threat at all. The SA goalie has been outstanding. Well Maduagu has been getting the results so we can't fault him, but he doesn't need to yell at the girls from the torchline, mark am, going in full, stay up, etc, these are adults not kids playing football. Also, won't yelling stop him from making real time analysis and deciding on strategies or counter plans on how to play the game? But in the end, the end justifies the means. |

Deltamani:Surely there’s some training for commentary duties. Let’s be honest, this is the only place she’s going to be employed with her mic performance so far. She needs to improve desperately if she’s going to make it a career |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CornOak(m): 5:56pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
The highlight of the first half for me is the improvement of our shots on target. Recording 5 shots on target out of 6 is impressive. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 5:57pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
lovewins:Perhaps defensive minded players like Ucheibe or Abiodun can come in to see off the game. More like we must have a balance between control and containment (if it makes sense). |

Shes literally the weak link CornOak: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Kibbs(m): 5:58pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
semid4lyfe:Good would be an understatement. They are excellent on the ball. They take it from defense to attack with ease, just that they haven’t been able to carve out goof chances in the final third—which is to our benefit. Let them keep passing, we keep scoring. |
