.......United ain't gonna sign any player(s) this window, except miracle happens.

I think we should forget about signing a striker and go all out for this guy Baleba and a new GK. Baleba is exactly what we need in the midfield.

We have Zirkzee, Obi, Cunha, Amad, Mbeumo, Bruno and Hojlund in attack. Goals will come but what we don’t have is an athletic midfielder that can break attacks and transition the ball into attack for us. Baleba is very good but the only issue is Brighton will won’t sell cheap. Watch this short clip of Baleba

If we can’t sign the Baleba guy, can we sign Brighton midfield scout? The guy sabi his work

He got them Caicedo and now Baleba. He go unearth a good gem for us in future

Afrodoc, is Ethan Williams really that special? Word is that Amorim rates his potential and ceiling even higher than Garnacho’s. What’s your take?

He is a good player.

afrodoc2:
Ashton Missin I would say no. He is pacy but I don’t think he has the X-factor and he isn’t the biggest lad. Leyqute and I have discussed him here. We like his speed, work rate, and application but ultimately I don’t think he has enough quality.

I really like Ethan Williams. Probably not as fast as Missin but he is a dominant winger when he feels like it. He is G/A king who takes free kicks and corner kicks with both feet, and scores from outside the box with both feet. Because he can shoot and cross with both feet he finds it easy scoring for himself and creating for others.
My 2 concerns with him are that he does not take his marker on 1v1 enough the way Garnacho did (or that even Missin does), and that he does not seem to possess elite speed. Also, he is sometimes nonchalant with his touch.
Whatever happened to Missin afrodoc? Is he still tenacious? Been a while I saw youth games.

Ethan Williams is ambidextrous and because of that he gets chances to cross or shoot easily, and at youth level he was elite at both.

He has decent speed but not top level. His touch is unpredictable. He does not play with consistent intensity although he has it when he wants to turn it on. He looks like he could be faster than he is but does not use it. His work rate off the ball is good though.

Missin has been missing for sometime now. I believe he is one of the ones that battled injury problems last season. Lacey and Fitzgerald being the most prominent.

Thanks.

At this point I’m concerned about Lacey’s chances of making it in pro football. His small frame aside, those recurrent injuries are a worry.

So he has the required tools but it depends on how much work he's willing to put in to become a difference maker and how much he wants to be a top player.

Yeah. He can’t afford another injury-riddled season.

There are a few players whose chances here have already been crushed by injuries.

Dan Gore, Ethan Ennis, Malachi Sharpe for example.

If you suffer recurrent injuries between 16 and 19 and you have not yet made the senior team then sope otilor.

Basically. The potential is there.

It's good that Amorim have signed Cunha and Mbuemo, high volume contributors in front of goal. It will address the lack of goals from last season, adding a quality striker will seal the deal.

However, our midfield should be given maximum priority. An industrious intelligent DM is a most if we want to compete at all next season. Teams run us ragged because we can't control the middle of pack. It's time we start taking initiative in games, dominating the engine room and put an end to all the disjointed and lacklustre midfield displays we are used to seeing.

We had Caicedo offered to us before Brighton got to him. We declined the opportunity just like so many talented players we could have signed before they got expensive. Haaland etc. Its not the scouting that is our issue its still the decision making once the talent has been identified.

It’s so clear the personality we need in midfield. Some say a Baleba profile fits perfectly and I don’t disagree. The issue I have is not with the player himself but with others around him.

If we’re going to progress the ball from defense to attack in a fluid manner, a lot of our midfielders and wingers have to understand to show up for the ball in a timely manner and learn how to find pockets of space while being marked.

Scholes was a great midfielder. But even he won’t excel when a return 5-yard pass is misplaced often. He won’t be able to achieve his maximum output.

Exactly, and we need technical players who will always show up for the ball and dictate play. Casemiro, Ugarte, Bruno aren't those players. Mainoo can do a job but he's too leggy and slow most times and his passing range is also suspect. If we get someone capable of that, we'll do well.

Just look at how we turned defence to attack

This isn't possible again with wingbacks

I swear and an Isak would be the best option but many factors are working against us, the current state of the club sef is already a turn-off coupled with our financial issues. It's sad that as it stands now, if anything happens to Mbeumo its back to the evil twins

Twitter birdies tweeting and chirping like woodpeckers about Watkins, a player hitting 30s. naso dem go collect uncle casemiro

One then wonders if this club na retirement camp.

Player go play him prime elsewhere, media go package am give this foolish United board and them go accept con begin pursue. Then player comes, takes a huge wage, starts flopping and they start thinking of offloading but who'd buy?

Rinse and repeat foolishness until chorus fade

Mumu Club. We aren't even in top6 convo FFS cheesy
