Ghana so good in this game. Morocco of course yet again find it difficult against top West African sides as well as top Southern African sides like South Africa and Zambia. |

daveP:If Echegini is injured for the finals, Coach shouldn't make the mistake of going defensive with Ucheibe or Abiodun. he should start Payne ASAP! |

AkinDS:Like FIFA did for Donnarumma? Stuff like this happened in football please. It was a scramble not like Deborah deliberately fouled her. |

AkinDS:At this rate she needs to leave the Sergio Ramos spirit wherever she picked it from and refine her decision making as a midfielder. That tackle was similar to what Shawcross did to Ramsey that year. Let's see if they'll review it. If Debbie like make she dey vex say dem callam magnet. Make she no go drink jejely juice. E go shockam. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 10:00pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
semid4lyfe:That's the issue. I'm not inferring it subtracts. This is about Debbie as a player. And yeah, its on the ref but that doesn't take away from how reckless that was by her. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 10:02pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
ekehopp2:Payne is suited for opponents like Morocco. But if na Ghana, trust the coach to go with the more physical Ucheibe or Debbie. Ghana are really doing what Senegal did to SA-making them look super ordinary. Extra time right now. The Moroccans are exhausted. It looks like this is the stadium the final will be played. |

do4luv14:Meech goal was like a "Coachie abeg no extra time o" cos the man refused to sub. He must have been planning that. Congrats to them once again. |

Morocco will be hosting the 2026 edition. That's 3 consecutive hosting. Wetin sef? ![]() But that's not what irks me. What irks me is why is it still 12 teams? Make this thing 16 abeg and let's enjoy ourselves abeg. Nigeria should host the 2028 one then. Kilode? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by deltafly: 10:45pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
daveP:CAF is confused . 16 supposed to play . Countries like Cameroon and Ivory coast are good team .one country hosting every year give undue advantage |

Ghana, on the day they played their best game of the tournament, were knocked out on penalties. Football can be so cruel sometimes. This was an exciting game. I was glued all through. |

daveP:Ok. So let's clear the misconception and irritations about Morocco hosting 3 times consecutively. Truth is, very few countries in Africa are equipped to host a continental event like the AFCON. Most of Africa cannot because they simply do not have the facility to do so, neither are they rich enough to embark on such a project. Not even Nigeria, the purported giant of Africa can host a continental event. In our 2027 AFCON hosting bid (which we lost) we had to do a joint bid with Benin because as a single entity we had no chance. In the last decade alone, CAF has had to change venues for several events because those who won the bid either weren't prepared or declined cause they didn't have the wherewithal to do so. At some point, South Africa used to be the go to country to bail CAF out when things like this happen, now it's Morocco. So instead of bothering, Morocco will just keep hosting cause they are prepared to host Africa. I also not sure any country even bother to bid for the WAFCON as it appears Morocco won unopposed. |

QueenJazz:But the commentary was bias to be honest especially coming from pundits. To your point however, I would say sometimes I don’t like it that we are everywhere on the internet 🤣🤣 especially with stupid comments you are bound to see from Nigerians many times. |

daveP:Niger ia has security issues Morocco will win the next WAFCON (2026) That’s their last chance They will force it by any means necessary Especially after losing 2 finals, they’d learn from all experience garnered on & off the pitch Hosting without Return on Investment, nah they will make their atlas lionesses win the next edition by force |
