Where shold they stay? A lady working in Lagos and earns well but her parents live in Ikorudu while she works at CBD should not rent closer to her workplace because she wants to be marriageable. Is aunty saying she should sleep under bridge or live in a dipilated house to be marriageable? Aunty doesn't know what a good interior does to one's mental health as a home is a place of relaxation and not TURMOIL. My sister just bought a washing machine last month and doing her Masters while working and we've always known that laundry is a chore for her. She was squatting with an aunt but needed more space for herself which we deliberated from a place of concern in terms of security and NEVER marriage. Pay attention to the ladies doing well here, you'll see that they achieved a level of comfort before saying I do and it raises their standard to seek for the best for themselves. My friend rented a mini-flat and all she put was mattress on the floor. She had those small clothe wardrobe we used in secondary school and plastic baskets for her clothes. Then a tiny ceiling fan. It was my first time seeing a ceiling fan that tiny. Her sitting room was empty and filled with nonsense load. I entered her flat and I was disappointed. I asked why she is living like this and she said "Here na camp. When I marry I go enjoy". How do you convince a man you are good for enjoyment when you have suffered all your life? Love yourself and let the man know how you love to be loved. Funny she was always giving her fake suitors gift and money, but found it hard to spend on herself. Na me carry her to Thermocool office at Dopemu to buy fridge and AC. Introduced her to my furniture maker. Paid for her driving school. Taught her parallel parking. Introduced her to the late Gazz to overhaul her car. We even bought a big gen from him and she uses it till date. I told her "eat your money. Put on AC make e dey cool your head, see as your house hottttt. When husband come, una go discuss the way forward". Everything isn't about man and what they care about. I dont why a lot of persons are ignorant. Because one wants to marry, one should live in poverty?. The culture we bred is that for a man to be a man, he has to be richer than the female. This is why guys are going to extreme length to get money and the husbands are doing everything to suppress the progress of their wives. And this is why a lot of ladies are wasting their destinies and potentials looking for a man that will provide for them. There is more to marriage than finance. One of the aim of marriage is to complement one another. In as much the guy is not lazy, knows where he is going, and he's taking the necessary step to reach there, its a go for any lady who believes in the same dream.
