Some actually prefers single persons for some roles because they believe they'd have less pressure from home which makes them more focused and vibrant.

Also for the fact that they can be easily posted to almost anywhere/any state without having to worry about the wife/husband and kids

No standard organisation will promise to make you get married within a certain period.

Having said that there are certain roles where a married person will be considered more appropriate for some reasons.

For instance a married person who is put in position of trust for certain cash or assets of the company is less likely to consider absconding with the company's property.

Also if you are going to be the head of a department where you will be supervising staff who are married, it is more appropriate to also employ a person who is already married to fill that role especially in our clime

A married man means wife and children which means expenses which means he needs the Job. And this is where you see why the companies become hostile and oftentimes even take the steps that would offend him. But it is just a test to see whether he is hooked.

So you, see companies prefer married men. Meanwhile for the female, it switches and they prefer the single ones
