These actions by men/operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Command in Abuja have exposed it to ridicule and condemnation. The blatant harassment of Christian worshippers at the Dutse, Kubwa axis, particularly through roadblocks targeting early morning church services, is egregious.

This display of power abuse and bias is unacceptable. The actions are unprofessional, discriminatory, and appalling, given the apparent pleasure taken in disrupting Christian services. Their dismissive attitude towards worshippers' concerns shows disregard for Christians' rights and dignity.

The advice to "wake up earlier" is insensitive and absurd. Christians should not adjust schedules to accommodate FRSC officials' whims; they have a right to attend services without harassment.

They were in the wrong place at the right time but in Nigeria, the federal road safety cops will rather prove stubborn than follow rules and regulations.

Christians should learn to obey traffic laws in Nigeria.

The reason for the FRSC officials being mostly Muslims is because their Christian colleagues have taken that Sundays and Christmas as their off duty days so as to being in church. Same applies to Fridays and especially Sallah days where you will find the Muslims taking those days off so as to celebrate Sallah with their families

I think sitting on the main road praying and blocking traffic is an act of obedience to traffic laws.

Go to NTA that shares same fence with Navy Dockyard in Victoria Island on a Friday and see how the entrance to the dockyard is blocked by worshippers and you won't be allowed to complain.

Its a country that gives room to all manners of base behaviours.

They check car document validity
They hardly check inside your car except for extinguisher and reflector

When I was staying somewhere in Abuja some 5yrs ago, they will deliberately take off power supply very early on Sundays and restore it at noon. This non violent, civilian jihad is calculated and deliberate.

For whatever offense, will the FRSC mount roadblocks on a Friday afternoon around the national mosque area or any popular mosque or even tell moslems to stop putting the mats on major roads to pray, depriving other Nigerians access to the road they paid their taxes to build?

Oga, emotional intelligence is far from you. You are aware that religious intolerance is one of the issues we used to have in this country and lately, to the glory of God, we have enjoyed relative peace as there are no reports of religious-triggered crisis in recent times.
