I think they made the right choice for his career. At his age he needs game time to develop further. Back up keepers don't get any minutes which is why they often remain backups permanently.

If they have determined that he is not ready to compete for the starting position the best thing is a loan deal.

How well have you watched this Hackney?
He is 23 and now only started making waves in the Championship. That is a red flag

I remember how people were hyping Buendia and Benrahma because of their exploits in the Championship only for them to fail to match that hype in the EPL.

I have seen him play few times as i follow borough cos of Carrick, the boy is good at progressing the ball and also good with passing. He is not the very best we can get but on the ball he is better than what we correctly have...

The problem for me is that all these accolades are against Championship opposition.

If it was a 19yr old boy doing all these I would say there is big potential for improvement but as a 23 yr old I am suspicious of him. Apart from Buendia and Benrahma there have been many players that dominated the Championship in their 20s and moved to the EPL and could not replicate it.

If funds are so limited i would buy Baleba this season and go for a CF next season.

Baleba and Mainoo first choice CM. Ugarte and Case 2nd choice. Bruno, Mbeumo, Cunha can rotate in attack.

I will check his videos sha but just remember the gap between Championship and EPL.

Yeah you are right about the gap, plus mentality of the player also play a part to their success. Baleba would be better suited to our two man midfield system, but Brighton will skin United for him that's for sure. Let them sha try improve that midfield before season starts..

Hackney is not better than Mainoo. if Mainoo can stay injury free, he will be a very important player for United next season.

on Baleba, I don't think the club is making any moves there. there are no links on media yet or I haven't seen any.
Brighton will ask for some unreasonable fee anyways, except the man is willing to make the move to United this summer.

I'm very worried that the club seems to think their only options are 80m on Sesko or 40-50 on Watkins.
