A personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) identified as Blessing Akpan was stabbed to death by unknown assailants in Abuja.

It was learnt that Blessing was stabbed in front of her residence in Piawe, Bwari, in the early hours of last week Tuesday.

She was confirmed dead at Bwari General Hospital by the medical personnel on duty.

Blessing’s friends, who spoke to Daily Trust on Monday, July 28, said the deceased was rushed to different hospitals after the attack but she was allegedly denied immediate treatment because of the absence of a police report.

One of the friends, who did not want her name in print mentioned, said the NSCDC officer lost her life because she had lost so much blood before she was attended to at a Hospital where she was later confirmed dead.

“It is painful that we lost officer Blessing as she was fondly called due to a weaken and uncoordinated system,” she said, adding “someone was dying and you insisted there there must be a police report before she was attended to.

“Honestly, this is very sad to say the least. Besides, she’s also a security personnel. We showed them her office identity card, they still didn’t attend to her, hence the reason we were taking her from one place to another until she died.”

When asked how she was stabbed, another friend explained that “she was on her way somewhere and some persons wanted to rob her of her belongings. I guess they had to stab her to have their way.”

Why on earth do we need police report in such life threatening situation? I once lost a sister to this police report requirement shit 😢

It sad how we keep going over this police report of a thing. The National Assembly has passed a Bill that allows hospitals to attend to gunshot injury and other life threatening injuries whilst waiting for a police report But Doctors and Hospitals are still rejecting patients..... I think the problem is not the system but the people, we are annoyingly strange in this part of the world.

I the Police have cancelled presentation of Police report before admitting or treating gunshot wounds or knife stabbing.

So they think they have gotten away with this atrocity?

If not demons at work, why will you exchange a living thing for a non living thing?

Ironically, whatever they robbed can be made legally through hard or even little work.

Let us even assume there was 50,000 naira in the bag. (Whch is highly impossible).

If these criminals go and learn driving, start uber work in Abuja and work minimum of 5 hours daily, they can make far more than 50,000 naira in 1 week. I heard some drivers gross 30k daily working 8 hours.

Minus fuel and other expenses, there is no way they won't go home with daily 10,000 which is still good money to some extent.

But no. These criminals will rather take the short cut that will lead their souls to hell under the manipulation of the devil.

They prefer the fast way of taking peoples lives and hitting 50k very fast in the shortest time possible.

To you reading this, be extremely careful of how you spend your life on earth. Forget all these cruise humans catch on earth. There are DANGEROUS CONSEQUENCES for every bad actions.

If you must sale your soul to the devil for money, make sure you are getting enough money. At least, let it be that the money counts in exchange for your soul. After earth, straight to hellfire.

In this case she wasnt shot with gun but attacked with a common weapon - knife.

The Nigerian Police Force needs to call all Medical directors of all hospitals to educate them.

The worsen part of the situation is that of hospitals that said they need police report before they can attend to her.
There are some situations in Nigeria that need immediate and harsh protest to checkmate and correct those situations.

Those hospitals should be shutdown for like six months...this will send a strong warming to others.
May gentle soul rest in peace.

Even if you suspect someone is a hardened criminal save the person's life first, that's your job as a medical practitioner...It's senseless waiting for police report before you treat a patient in critical condition.


The question I always ask is, if the person is a member of their family would they wait for police report before they start treatment?

People should stop exchanging their lives with material things, you might look weak when you let go but it's better than untimely death. These criminals don't have conscience, they can kill over petty things.

A family friend was at a bar drinking when 3guys walked in, their target was the bar attendant who was working alone that day. Unfortunately for my guy he was in the bar, after collecting money and phones from the bar attendant they walked up to him and also collected his phone. He didn't argue with them which was unusual because I know that guy. Normally he nor dey gree for anybody.

I was curious and asked him why he let go of his phone easily, he said he noticed the guys could do anything at that moment because they came prepared.......He bought another phone a week later. If he was forming strong man I don't think he would have been alive today.

It's crazy that even a security operative would be denied life-saving first aid because of lack of 'police report'. In saer climes, even violent criminals' lives would be saved first and foremost, before any further investigation occurs.

Nigeria is definitely another planet's hellfire.

11 years ago, I was heading home and very close to the compound when suddenly two young criminals pounced on me from behind...

They demanded that I give them my phone, which I did immediately I saw the long dagger 🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️ in the hand of one of the thugs....

I asked them to at least give me my SIM card, which they did

And I went home sad but also happy that I was not killed with a dagger 🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️ by those thugs...

The moral of the story is this :
