he put himself about though. I think he's played with a heightened sense of urgency so far this preseason.
Leon had one of such as well.
patterns of play still break down but not as quickly as we've being seeing.
let's see as fitness levels continue to rise.
hopefully we add someone explosive in the middle.

Leon is a project player and a teenager. Ugarte is an expensive buy in his mid 20s that is meant to be a starter.

Leon is a WB and will have more space, so his touch won't be as big of an issue immediately. Ugarte will be playing in the most crowded area of the pitch.

Leon's mistake didn't lead to us conceding a goal. Ugarte's did.

He has been playing well this preseason, but he has 2 major issues that urgently need addressing or else it will never work for him in the EPL as a CM. His inconsistent touch and his tunnel vision. It is tunnel vision that makes him hold on to the ball for too long and get dispossessed OR not release the ball on time when running with it on a counter. He just can't see the pass to make.

Definitely better. There's a De Gea esque save he made with his right foot. If it were Onana it would have been a goal. Ball playing goalkeeper that can’t make a save with his feet. Onana would have tried to save it with his hand and then the ball with go under his arm or he will miss it due to his slow reflex. Also Matato played the RWB better than Dalot
