Leyqute:The dad went on social media to be complaining about the club not respecting them and also claiming some overaged boys were in his boy’s set. They can’t control him if they wish to keep the son. Nike flew the son out to Spain once and he had a tour of Nou Camp and met with Lamine Yamal. The best we can hope is that man controls himself. Parents of hyped stars are impossible to control. There is always another club ready to toast them. |

afrodoc:So if he doesn’t control himself, we just let things roll and miss out on a superstar or millions of pounds in potential transfer fees? The club needs to find a way to get him under control. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CrystalTiger(m): 3:49am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:I don't get you.. Are there no players in Spurs and Newcastle that'll walk straight into our 11? Reputable journalists have said, ManUtd wouldn't bid for any player who doesn't choose ManUtd, it's a good strategy I believe.. |

CrystalTiger:I wasn't referencing the strength of the team or the quality of players CrystalTiger:This is exactly the point - we are now at an all time low such that players are thinking it through before picking us over Newcastle, Spurs and the likes. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 6:15am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:Are Arsenal also at an all-time low? I am sure he opts to join us you'll link it to money... Mbeumo chose to come here rather than Newcastle or Spurs a few weeks ago, so I don't know what you're on about... |

patrickmuf:In addition to agreeing to pay Mbuemo:My position was quite clear - if a player is deliberating between Joining Man utd and Newcastle, it's a clear reminder that the mighty has fallen! If we are at a point where extra persuasion is needed before a player chooses us ahead of Newcastle, Spurs and the likes, its a further testament to the depths to which the club has sunk. Sesko potentially becoming the 3rd player to allegedly reject us in one Transfer window, is another issue entirely. Hopefully, it wouldnt get to that stage. It is what it is!!

Jamiuokolaa:We are not dragging players with any club, United is interested in Sesko and so is Newcastle and maybe other teams. Newcastle has made a good bid matching what Leipzig want, but the deal isn't progressing cos Sesko hasn't made up his mind. Plus our options are limited due to lack of European football next season. My only worry is him taking too long to choose United over Newcastle, only players who truly want to play for United should be joining the Club going forward. |

TrebleChamp:Na the "drag" be this wey mesef dey worried about na. We wey dey rival top guns in Europe for talent that year come dey wait make player decide Wether to join us or Newcastle. Newcastle!!! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 8:27am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:You don forget say Newcastle don hold bar. See wetyn you dey talk. When Man City was busy dragging players during their early oil money days, did it mean any mighty fell? You think other top clubs didn't try to sign Lescoth, Aguero etc? They even collected Tevez from us. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 8:31am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:Do you know that United have been dragging players with them Newcastle, Spurs and co even during Fergie era? Which Club did we lose Alan Shearer to? Which Club did we lose Paul Gascoigne to? Was United in decline in those era too? Every player listens to the clubs project before choosing which club matches their ambition. United is not in Europe but we could still sign Cunha and Mbeumo and likely more players before window closes. I think the board is doing well by going for players who are really interested in joining the Club, at least they no longer offer crazy salary to tempt players into joining... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa: 8:36am On Aug 03, 2025 |
odizeey:You have further made my point for me.. If Man Utd - a club that was arguably neck on neck with Madrid in terms of reputation and clout at some point, is now being compared to Mancity's "early oil money |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 8:46am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:To be fair their was never a time we matched Madrid or Barcelona in terms of player pull, Players (especially foreign) would always choose Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, AC Milan over United. Reason why Fergie relied more on British players during his successful era... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:11am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:Which point? Read and understand the post. I'm comparing Man City and Newcastle. Not Man City and Man United. Guess agenda won't let you see it. By the way, we dragged with Madrid for Yoro last season. Tomorrow you'll blame coach for this downward slope you are seeing. |

TrebleChamp:The Shearer transfer saga was in 1996. Prior to joining the toon Army, they finished runners up in the league. How many times have they attained that feat in the last 30years? Again, it is worthy of note that Blackburn sold Shearer to the highest bidder. Moscow Times: TrebleChamp:Gazza was a greedy drunkard who cared less about football... Manchester Evening news: TrebleChamp:I cant remember criticising the board in this regard. What I clearly posited is that we no longer have the same clout, pull and influence that has been synonymous with the club during our glory years and it has started rubbing off in terms of player recruitment. |

odizeey:The bolded is another reason why your argument is DOA - you are the one driving agenda by comparing Newcastle United to Mancity's kamikaze spending immediately the Sheihks took over! Fergie's "Noisy neighbours" with the present Newcastle United?? Come on !! No basis whatsoever! Immediately the Arabs took over at City , they outspent every club in the PL for about 3 consecutive seasons! The humongous wage bills they managed to accumulate is another discussion entirely! odizeey:You keep making my point for me, honestly. Madrid weren't ready to pay over the odds for Yoro - they were even hoping to get him for free. Metro: Manchesterworld:We also offered Yoro a better contract package.. daily mail:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13826503/reason-leny-yoro-joined-manchester-united.html |

Am getting of this Sesko drama. lf he is nt ready come we should move on. Their are still alot of players out there who will want to sign for us. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 9:56am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:Most players will opt to speak with the manager to understand the manager's plan and the direction the club is headed. There's nothing to it... In the end, he said the project here is more exciting, why are not running with that line? Newcastle has UCL football to offer, but even then, Sesko has not decided, and when he does, it will be in his best interest...If he chooses to come here, then fine but if he opts for Newcastle, it's his choice. Yoro opted to join us over Madrid just last season but it doesn't mean we are bigger than Madrid or that they're struggling to attract players. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:05am On Aug 03, 2025 |
I like the approach of the club towards this Sesko transfer...If he gives us the all clear, we put in a bid but if he doesn't, we walk No point putting in a bid of let's say $80m when you are not sure if the striker to accept to join the club because doing that will mean that other clubs will up the fees of their players knowing that you have such money to spend... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa: 10:05am On Aug 03, 2025 |
patrickmuf:That's what I am saying nau - our coaches are having to explain Projects to Brendford players so that they wouldnt pick 17th placed clubs like spurs over us. patrickmuf:The Yoro issue has been addressed severally on these pages and i did it again a few mins ago. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:05am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Newcastle are just desperate that's why they rushed to submit that offer. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:15am On Aug 03, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:You think the likes of Spurs and Newcastle are not ambitious themselves? How did City start again? Newcastle have the funds to burn, it's just FFP that's keeping them in check else they'd have signed some of the best players in Europe and start competing for the league and other important trophies. It is not unheard of for a player to speak to the manager of the club interested in his signature so I don't know why you are making a big deal out of it. Time after time, we have seen clubs fail to sign certain players, and they move on afterwards. Why should our own case be any different? |
