You finished 15th and you are wondering why players are hesitating to choose you over Newcastle who will likely offer the same salary and champions league football. Some of una dey play sha.
Amorim set the club a thousand years back with that 15th position finish and i really hope he punches above his weight this season.

Even the one wey dem wan make na our hands he dey i.e. garnacho. If dem lana or gbarride talk anyhow we call the shots off. Make we just dey observe sha.
If them gree 20 million, make them briing the Garnacho come.

Or they give us Garnacho and 50 million for Jackson, na still their gain

Jackson has huge potential and would unlock Mason Mount for them

€80million fixed fee is just £69million. Same ball park as the fee for Cunha and Mbuemo. Nothing outrageous like people are making it out to be. Less then what Liverpool paid for Ekitake who Leipzig will be looking at when selling. Same people against this deal want us to spend over 100million plus on one Balenciaga from Brighton. Some people thought process is just upside down.

Honestly I would have preferred we go for an epl proven striker or not but at all.

A benefit of us not putting in a bid is that the clubs for any alternate targets won't know if we have that money to spend or not.
Name those EPL proven strikers that are currently available for £50m or below and are at a good age. Premier league proven with at least 2 EPL seasons of scoring 14league goals or more.

Safe for a few...I mean those who want Amorim to use a washed-up Casemiro, average Ugarte, injury-prone Mount, young Mainoo and inconsistent Bruno to finish in the top 4.

It is going to be a big challenge. That midfield dey scare me. I hope there is still money left after this Sesko bid. Even if it is to sign someone who has good physical and technical abilities on loan.

Oga, it is embarrassing that an Uknown Slovenian with a hyper-inflated price tag from Leipzig has put us in "pending" mode because Newcastle has shown interest.

We say we should go for players that are genuinely interested in Joining, yet we dey enter queue dey wait for overpriced Benjamin Sesko to decide between us and Newcastle.

If you are happy and proud of the recent developments, goodluck!
Better wake up from that your slumber.

First of all, Sesko is not unknown.

Are you now beginning to agree that the board is incompetent?

I’m not happy with the risk. The only way this makes sense is if it turns out well.

I mean, our midfield is crying out for a quality addition but we’re splashing that much on an upcoming striker.

If them buy Sesko, Amorim better turn him to a beast, scroing the same number of goals as Gyokeres for Sporting.

If we get him, it had better work out. The difference between him and Rasmus is that he is not big and fast for nothing. He at least appears able to use his size and speed effectively.

The other crucial factor is that Mbeumo and Cunha will share the burden with him.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 2:02pm On Aug 05, 2025
We r paying huge money for an average player now that can easily flop( l hope not) Tommoro we will start complaining of being saddle with same average players with huge wage bill.

Can't this money get us a midfielder/ striker lf our scouting team know what they r doing

Where do you read excuses?

It will amount to telling yourself a lie if you look at our midfield and think we are good to go for the season. When I saw our lineup vs Everton, I hinted that we could do with a midfielder for the money we plan to spend on Sesko, that's how much I think of our midfield as the one area we need to fix...

He’s also better in the air I think. And that sums it up. Throw him into the United squad of last season, I don’t think he would’ve made much difference.

The irony would be if he comes and Hojlund starts benching him. Would it be a good decision to have the two of them in the squad? There aren’t many games to go around like last season.

So you didn't see the need for a midfielder against Bournemouth and west ham when we we won comfortable but because of Everton game the club should disregard their initial plan going into the summer. Why are fans so reactionary.

Go for a cheap striker in Delap with premier league experience you guys complain,go for the expensive one from another league you still complain. I have come to the conclusion United fans can never be satisfied with anything.

Even Gyokeres won't replicate those numbers at Arsenal so this is unrealistic.
