Any time your club wants to buy a player like this guy and AWB who has major technical deficiencies on the ball, but his supporters are talking about his off the ball qualities such as sliding tackles and work rate, your answer should always be NO.

Take it as a golden rule. Those qualities won't work for a top club in a top league.

In a vacuum, you are 100% right but, in a situation where we have signed Cunha and Mbeumo, the CM become a bit more important.

My midfield concerns are not even about Ugarte alone. All of them have flaws. There is no single CM player that i can bank on currently.
That CM is a ticking time bomb if we leave it as it is. I hope Sesko does well if we eventually sign him.

He plays with an urgency that we don't have in the midfield. He punches the ball between the lines. He has a narrow turning cycle. He is a good ball carrier. He has a decent passing range.

But i don't think he is ready yet. He makes unforced errors. He sometimes disappears in games, and you start wondering if he is playing. He sometimes gets bullied physically.

I am sure Oasis likes him even more than you, but he is not shouting for them to play him and not buy an established player. Highlights can be deceiving. It is better we introduce him slowly rather than waste another talent. Mainoo is on the precipice of being wasted here. Like Garnacho. Like Adnan. Even to an extent Rashy. Amad's more patient trajectory is the best way to go about things.

But after this sesko deal I can’t wrap my head around the thoughts that players still want to come to United. Like why will any player want to come to United. I want them to but it seems like a stupid decision career wise.

All the numerous chances these players missed last season are pointers that we need goal scorers and that seems to be what the club has prioritized in this window. If Garnacho & co could convert all those missed chances y'all think we'd be anywhere near even 10th position? E be like una dun forget last season easily. Most part of the games there were always chances but no one sharp enough to convert. The guy up there that first mentioned this is aboslutely spot on; our biggest problem was chance conversion and not the midfield. The goals would've sustained the awful results we got and at least kept us afloat.

Players come from the so-Called inferior leagues and tear EPL up so everyone deserves a chance.

Liverpool splurge on top Hugo big time. That one wey look like american rapper and not a footballer

We aren't buying players suited to 3 at the back alone. We're preparing for eventualities and our first 10 features will either make or mar this coach. All eyes will be on the team before December.

Also seems like we are following what Klopp did at looserpool.

What he did was to first change the attack and no doubt they conceded goals a plenty but that was sorted in next season.

Having a good attack will take pressure off the midfield and defense. teams might resort to low block again which means they wont pressure our midfield as much. teams went after us as they felt comfortable defending against us

We are doing something very similar. Though I wanted a Midfield badly, still have my hopes high

Cunha, Sesko, Mbeumo, Amorim had better get his acts together because that's more than enough firepower given to him..

I’m eager to see the magic Amorim wants to do that would make fitting Bruno in this starting line up make sense and won’t come back to haunt him. Central midfield with any of our midfield - We’re cooked except he want to play score me I score you football. He can’t play upfront when we now have a lethal striker, Cunha and Mbeumo who are obviously better in that position and also new expensive signings whom he must place. We’re all waiting to see how he plays Bruno and not appear sentimental
