Saw someone in Reddit give an analysis on why he doesn’t see United ever getting issues with signing players. He used Liverpool as example stating how they were bad during the early 2000s (not sure though) and were still able to sign big names

He mentioned that we don't have a player in the midfield who can drive forward with the ball during the preseason. If he does not need one, why will he even highlight the problem? That's a subtle way of reinforcing a demand he must have made to the board in private.
