But he's better than Onana no? Saw someone compare his situation to Ugarte. To problem is of Onana will sit on the bench.
It is not about being better than Onana. That is not enough. He will be on big wages and will be signed on a long term contract. We have to be sure he is the right GK long term to take us to the top and not be fooled by his UCL heroics the same way we were by Onana. At least 16 GKs in the EPL last season were better than Onana but that does not mean we will be happy to sign all of them, and on big wages still. For me Onana's case is a bit different cos i used to follow Ajax a lot and i knew he was a calamity GK which i stated here when we were linked to him.

This Donnarumma one is coming as a shock to me but i keep seeing it everywhere. I know his passing is not very good but i am now reading that he flaps at crosses and does not come out of his line to claim crosses or to be a sweeper keeper. These are some of the reasons PSG have decided to offload him and replace him with another GK, so they say. I don't really watch Ligue 1 but those who watch the league also said he had a slightly calamitous 1st half of last season.

I have been reading some concerning analyses of Donnarumma lately which explain why PSG are looking to get rid of him.

I hope we are not about to make another Onana mistake. INEOS should shine their eye before buying o.
It was the same thing he did in Milan if I'm not mistaken. He ran down his contract also.

PSG arent stupid. They offloaded Ugarte and were giggling in the corner as we spent £60m on him. They're offloading Donnaruma for a reason. I personally wouldnt go for him.

I think it's a case of giving the dog a bad name so as to hang it.

It's simple about money. PSG offered him a new contract and rejected it because he wanted higher salary. I was already on 200k and the story is that he wanted 250-300k and PSG refused.

It was the same thing the did at Milan before PSG got him, it's Karma playing out again.

Maguire talked about this rigid formation issue in his recent interview with Rio Ferdinand.

He explained that people think Amorim formation is Rigid because it is on paper but in the games they are not because they sometimes play with 4 from the back.

About 22:20 minutes into the video and above

it's very obvious in-game. we mostly press from the front in a 4-4-2 and defend in 4-2-2-2, and attack in 3-2-5 or or 3-4-1-2 depend on situation.
still breaks down half the time but I think the intensity is much more sustained than last season.
last season, the team couldn't compete with any EPL side physically.

It's all about money.

The only reason I might not want us to sign him is because this is the second club he's doing this but at 26m, it's a steal.

This is coming from fans that watch Ligue 1 not journalists or club plants. Those that watch the league closely say he is quite shaky at crosses despite his big frame. He also does not like coming out of his box and stays glued to his goal line a lot.

I don’t watch the league so I can’t comment on the truth of those claims. It’s just a cause for caution. The club should make sure that what they think they are buying is what they are buying. They missed obvious clues with Onana and Ugarte.

Yeah at 26m it is incredibly tempting.

He has terrible mercenary tendencies though.
He stuck it to his childhood club in a despicable way.

We said we should buy a ball playing GK. He is not the only ball playing GK on earth.

I made at least 5 posts warning people that they might develop heart problems and other health issues if we sign him. Go and verify cool

He should train alone. You can't overestimate the amount of damage he could do by being around those academy prospects on a daily basis.

Didnt they just spend 40m on a new Keeper?

Yes. Gigi refused to sign a new contract several times, PSG has moved on and bought a new keeper announced few days ago. They don't want him to leave on a free.

Something wey we don see teytey during matches. It’s all about buildup style plus progression to opponent’s box. City use the same type of personnel too. And during this preseason, we’ve seen 4atb several times with Dorgu or Amad playing on the wings.

It is what it is.
True! But it is better people saying Amorim is too rigid hears it from the players mouth. Else they won’t believe.

last season, the team couldn't compete with any EPL side physically.
Yeah, I think he mentioned the physicality as one of their issues too (if I am not mistaken), except if I saw it somewhere else, because I was sleepy when watching it. But that has improved this season.

Honestly, I put this here so that the people saying Amorim is too rigid will hear it from the horse's mouth. Now I understand their fear because the formation still breaks and leaves us vulnerable at times. But to be honest, I have high hopes because for the first time in a while, I can see what the coach is trying to do. It is gradually working.

Eyewitnesses say the players are also happy and willing to do the work. You can see it on the pitch; they are giving their all.

Amorim mentioned a few months back that he isn’t all about adapting to the formation, but to the game in general.

During our preseason, you can see that our attack has really improved. The slick one-two passes and positioning by players was just shocking, man.

Mbeumo and Cunha were really good, and Amorim mentioned they just showed about 50% of what they are capable of.

If sesko can live up to the expectations. We shall compete well for top 6.

Good thing is from the few sesko highlights I watched. Alot of his goals were from distance. This will most likely put our opponents in pressure and relief us from pressure in the midfield.

Pep Guardiola will always be who he is. I knew he would never rely on inexperienced players.

Trafford go chop bench tire. Sad, after the fantastic season he’s had in the championship.

Has any Tier 1 journalist confirmed the news. It does not make too much sense in a number of ways.
