President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the boards of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), both under the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, News360 Nigeria reports.

Idris Olorunnimbe will serve as Chairman of the NCC, while Dr. Aminu Maida retains his position as Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Other NCC board members include Abraham Oshidami, Rimini Makama, Hajia Maryam Bayi, Col. Abdulwahab Lawal (Rtd), Senator Lekan Mustafa, Chris Okorie, Princess Oforitsenere Emiko, and the Board Secretary.

For the USPF, Communications Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani will chair the board, with Olorunnimbe as Vice Chairman. Members include Oshidami, Makama, Aliyu Edogi Aliyu, Joseph B. Faluyi, Auwal Mohammed, Uzoma Dozie, Peter Bankole, Abayomi Anthony Okanlawon, Gafar Oluwasegun Quadri, and the Fund’s Secretary.

The USPF works to expand ICT access to rural, unserved, and underserved communities in Nigeria.

Sounds like someone who said "I will remove subsidy immediately" and also said "I will not remove subsidy immediately"

The beauty of Tinubu government is that those who gave him 3% are rendered useless in his administration which is fully justified.

What's happened to the much touted "federal character"?

The Yorubas are the " major" beneficiaries of the lopsided appointments into key offices and positions in the country and are a turning a blind eye to this to this flagrant and rapacious assault on the Nigerian Constitution which stipulates even appointments across the country to guarantee equity and fairness.


It's one's hope that the Yorubas won't cry foul when the tables get turned!

Did you read the article at all or you only saw the chairman's name to make this unintelligent opinion......it's a board that's been constituted and from what every one with common sense knows,the executive vice chairman is the one that runs the show and is CEO of the commission and he isn't Yoruba so why all the noise......when GEJ was at the helm s easterners and SS were everywhere in govt and were the ones running it,there was no noise whatsoever.
