With the huge investments and absence of European Football distractions, anything short of a top 4 finish would be unsatisfactory....just like you opined.

We really need to start playing CL football again as soon as possible. Might manage a 5th position finish + an FA cup win if the PL gets an extra CL slot.

If we somehow find ourselves in the title race (as serious contenders) then yes, one can argue that it should be enough to wipe off last season's shameful slate!

We agree on this one...

I'm not sure about 4th. Liverpool,City, Arsenal and Chelsea are all significantly ahead of us. Maybe 5th at best case scenario.

Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Pool are all in Europe, we have the advantage...Remember when Conte won the league with Chelsea?

My dear Brother, TrebleChamp, can rest now. The boy gonna come good, but he ain't gonna get time to prove himself this season in the first team.

I was hoping Case gonna be sold, but Dude wanna feed on more burgers at Carrington. I wish Kone, swift recovery. He is unlikely to be loaned though, coz coaching crew know he has huge potentials and wanna keep him around to learning and honing his skills.

For one they have a midfield 3. So they'll always competitive in midfield. And this is despite being hamstrung by Richarlison playing rubbish upfront. If you add Eze to the squad with Solanke and Kukusevski. They'll be very strong.

......formation is never the problem. 4 - 3 - 3 formation just got beaten twice. I think this should be enough to tell the Thomases that, Amorim has every right to stick to his idea, philosophy and formation.

Instead of debating whether its gonna work at United or not, we should be hoping Amorim gets it work this season. BTW.....Sir Alex didn't become a living legend coz he played 4 - 3 - 3 formation, rather because he made 4 - 4 - 2 formation worked for him.
