The watching of white movies by kids then was just about the action fight taking place as most kids did not care to listen to even a single word coming from the actors in a film.
The plot of the movie they don't know talkless of the theme.
As long as there is fight going on in the movie then the movie is tough and if no fight then it is not tough lol.
From movies like coming to America to sister act and so much more.
In coming to America ,maybe the only word they heard was goodmorning my neighbour, goodmorning, f..k you f..k you too.

You are very right... I was like this when I was a kid. I never use to listen to what was been said in Hollywood movies cos they seemed to be talking to fast.

I had to rewatch a lot of movies for this purpose,but despite the language barrier,the script and storyline was clear as day…..

Couldn't believe it that 'last American Vîrgín' was the closest thing I saw that felt like bf...


I was more of a horror movie fan, watched the first saw movie when it came out. Right now I can eat through the most horrible movie without flinching...


Funny thing, current movies don't bug me no more, I've gone back to the 80's and 70's to check for classics...


Just finished the original naked gun last night before watching the current 2025 remake, I didn't even last 30 mins, I don go sleep...

My love for American English deminished the more when I found British movies, and I was like Lord, why didn't I find this accent when I was younger...

Don’t let me catch you guys in America’ 😂. That man—Leslie Nielsen—may his soul rest in peace—was a once-in-a-generation comedy genius. Back when I was a pre-teen, his movies could turn even the dullest afternoon into a full-blown laugh riot. Some of his lines are still permanently lodged in my brain: ‘Look there—it’s Enrico Pallazzo!’, ‘See, it’s just a stun, he’ll be fine’ 😂.

And then there were the completely absurd classics: ‘Nice beaver!’ (‘Thanks, I just had it stuffed.’), or the scene where he pulls a gun… and it’s a banana 🍌. Or the way he’d narrate dead-serious while the most ridiculous things happened behind him—like a full-on fireworks disaster—ending with ‘Nothing to see here!’.

Who could forget the baseball scene where he butchers the national anthem😂, the hospital ‘I love you’ exchange that drags on forever, or the part where he disguises himself as an umpire and starts frisking players like he’s searching for nuclear weapons?🤣

Leslie Nielsen didn’t just tell jokes—he was the joke😂, in the most lovable, straight-faced way possible. He was the king of deadpan, the master of absurd timing, and proof that sometimes, the funniest thing in the world is a man saying the dumbest thing😅 like it’s the most important statement ever made😂.

And if Frank Drebin were here, he’d probably say: ‘Like a blind man at an orgy, I was just hoping to feel things out.’😂

The new one was a bore, not that interesting 🤧.

No be me be that oh...
ever since I was a kid, I listened to every word till the point i memorise them.
I still remember quotes from Clash of the Titans, sound of music, King and I, and many other movies and every word, song, joke, reaction was noted. This followed me growing up and it has gotten worse. I rather chase everyone out of the room so I can hear every word.
