Good afternoon brothers and sisters..

Please my guy wants to apply for UK Visit visa soon. He is a business man.
Please I need guidance/Explanation on how the bank statement is suppose to be.

How much should be inside and how the inflow/outflow should be..

Thank you brethren...
There are many things he needs to take into consideration.

His monthly income. monthly expenses are very inportant.

He should seperate his personal and business accounts. He should also ensure he is able to explain the inflow into his personal account.

He should build his savings for the trip over time as any suddent huge deposit will be a red flag.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Update: International Passport upload.

Uploading only the data page is not enough. All pages, including blank pages should be included.

@giselle237. Asking for a friend. If you claimed you are employed and also own your own business in your previous application. Can you phase out the " owning your own business" part in your next application.
Explaining business transactions and earnings has been landed him 2 refusals in the last 18 months. Please advise. Thanks
I am employed and also owned a business, I got a refusal in my first application and the second I got an approval.
He shouldn't phase out owning a business, he should ensure his business is active on the CAC platform, all his business dealings Sales and purchase invoices should be intact.
And also he should address the refusal reasons with evidence.
Lastly his Salary account and business account should be different.

Hi guys,
After filling my uk application online, they are only asking me for 2 documents.
1. Mandatory documents- colour copies of all pages of passport , thus include blank pages, the copies must be in page order and clear enough

2. Other documents- evidence of funds available to you.

Is this the only document UK request for?
**I have extensive travel history.
I’m think for other people, there are still tabs to upload other documents. I schooled and live in the uk like 4 years ago

Business - to attend immigrant visa interview at the US Embassy

Documents submitted:
Immigrant petition approval notice

Wow , being expected to scan 64 pages worth is quite the hassle indeed . I was expecting it would just be biodata page and visa / stamps

I only uploaded my data page and received my visa yesterday

THERE IS NO POLICY LIKE THAT. You are only expected to upload the pages that shows your travel history.

Don't let anyone stress you with false information.

I handle at least one visa application a month.
So no one should come out here and label my information false.

When was the last time any of you completed any visa application?
These changes are on the main uk visa application website. If you go to the biometric portal, it has also been introduced.

A new category called passport/travel document is now on the biometric site.

I like what you have just done. It is a constant reminder to everyone on this platform that life is always in a constant state of flux. Before you come here to discredit another person's information, take some time to research and find out if the information is valid. Visa processes especially within the Nigerian context is always changing and evolving. What was applicable yesterday, may be abolished today, and reinstated tomorrow. In the end this platform is amazing and continues to educate individuals on these ever changing rules.

I agree. Actually, it's not a new policy.

Many years ago, applicants were required to make copies of all the pages in their passport.

For whatever reason, it was stopped a few years ago. Looks like the practice has been reinstated.

Does VFS send refusal like TLS? I asked because I got a passport collection mail today saying:
Dear Customer,

A decision for GWF reference number GWF******** was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on *****.

If a courier return service was purchased from VFS, your passport and notification of the decision will be delivered to the chosen address.

If not, your passport can be collected from the UK Visa Application Centre during the designated passport collection times (Please check our website for details).

Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email.

Regards,

VFS Global

Congratulations… I did my biometrics on 17th and I’m yet to get my student visa. I only received a generic email stating the process might take longer. What’s your advice on this?

Pls what are the pros and cons of using enugu vsf center? Like any extra charge, do they still offer only premium appointments, how long does it take to get appointments etc? Do they now have TB test center in enugu to serve enugu uk visa application? Thanks in advance for your help
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by mayowa94: 10:03pm On Aug 16, 2025
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 – V4.6 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for visitors for
the reasons stated below.
• You state that you intend to visit the UK for a period of 14 Days for the purpose of tourism
and visiting your relatives in the UK.
• You state that you are self-employed with an annual income of 5,000,000.00 NGN
(£2,404.43, at an exchange rate of £1 = 2079.49 NGN as seen on oanda on
15/08/2025) and you have provided your personal savings bank statement (account
ending in 7826) to demonstrate your financial circumstances. Whilst I acknowledge your
supporting information, I note that the credits and balances in your personal account are
not consistent with, and in fact exceed, your declared annual income. From our
calculations, you have received more than your annual income in credits to this bank
account in the month of May alone. As the total lodgement/credits figures are not in line
with your stated annual income this consequently damages the credibility of your declared
financial circumstances. Therefore, I am not satisfied you have given an accurate reflection
of your current employment/financial circumstances.
• You have provided your personal and corporate bank statements to demonstrate your
financial circumstances. I note that your personal bank account is being used for business
purposes. As this savings statement also represents funds used for the activities and
running of your business, and you have not demonstrated that these funds are available
to support anything else, this documentation, in isolation, does not demonstrate your
personal financial situation. Given this, I am therefore led to doubt your reason for travel
is as stated as I am not satisfied you have given an accurate reflection of your current
financial circumstances in your country of residence.
• Furthermore, you state you are self-employed and to demonstrate your circumstances, I
note that you have provided a certificate of registration for the company. Whilst I acknowledge the documentation you have provided,
the source of the funds in your personal account, as well as your self-employment
circumstances, have been cast into doubt, given that Corporate Affairs Commission
determined the status of your company to be ‘inactive’. I am therefore not satisfied that
your employment and financial circumstances are as you have stated, which leads me to
doubt your intentions of visiting the UK at this time.
• These factors only serve to undermine the credibility of your application and raise concerns
about your intentions to travel to the UK, as well as your incentives of returning to your
country of residence. As such I am not satisfied that, if granted leave to enter as a visitor,
you will comply with all the conditions attached to any such leave or that you will leave the
UK on completion of the proposed visit.

Please which actions should I take to correct this and how soon can I reapply?
The account submitted was a business account.

The account submitted was a business account.
1. Never use your personal business account for business transactions.

2. As a business owner, you should be paying yourself. So the only money that should come from your business into your personal account is the salary you paid to yourself.

3. Activate your CAC.
