BewareOf419:
IBB founded SDP In 1989, M.K.O contested under SDP and won the 1993 presidential election in which Bola was among the members of this party. Following a coup in 1993, all parties running in the election were affiliated with the military regime.

As at 1999, In the period of transition from military rule to democracy, there were JUST three political parties in Nigeria. They are PDP, APP and AD, so where did you get all you said above from? GenZ people!
You are the one that knows what you mean by GenZ people.
To the issue, which party is APP, the party formed towards the transition was ANPP, I don't know any APP.
APGA, I know wasn't registered as at 98/99, but it got registered before the 2003 election which Ojukwu contested on her platform.
The current SDP still choose to adopt the legacy of the old SDP, don't know if the exact time it was reregistered, but I already made it clear that there was no party that was still standing as a registered political party from the 3rd Republic in the 4th Republic

geoworldedu:
iS SDP and APC the same, because last I checked Tinubu started with SDP?
Was SDP not dissolved by Abacha in 1993?
As of 1999, all political parties were new.

The only thing you can ever say regarding jumping ship regarding Tinubu is that he moved from AD to create AC which became ACN and merged to become APC.

That amounts to no political prostitution.

(No jab intended at a particular politician grin)

AD merged with AC ?,

Are you a kid ?

AD contested elections alongside AC

Tinubu decamped with his justice group to form AC.

Bucknor Akerele, Pa Adesanya, pa fasanya , Olu falea and others remained and continued Alliance for Democracy (AD) . The party went into extinction because of lack of patronage.
It never merged with any other party.

Please ask your elders to educate you properly
There wasn't AC before, Tinubu and other AD governors of 1999 changed AD to AC but some inconsequential politician still retain the AD platform to contest elections. It was to make sure the party retain it's top of the ballot position, and drag it from the influential elders that were in control.

Stop playing the fools game.

The question is, did tinubu decamp from AD to form AC? Yes or no.

Stop giving flimsy excuses and childish reasons.

The guy man decamped, because AD was still existing as a political party. DECAMPING IS DECAMPING

You obviously are ignorant of what decamping means, Tinubu created his own party and did not decamping to another existing party try and use the brain God gave you

AD still exists, in the context of decamping, you can't count his leaving of AD to form AC as decamping, he left the party to form a new party from scratch.
So that's not decamping by leaving your party to form another party. Una Weldone o, go tell nursery pupils that one

Nothing like SDP was re-registered in the history of Nigeria politics. If you care to learn, I will assist you but if other way round, I will just be looking at you

I don't think you know the period of third and fourth republic's. If you can surrender yourself, you'll surely gain a lot from me. On that, we have registered political parties in the third and fourth republic's!

AD became AC after merging with a smaller party
AC became ACN after merging with a smaller party
ACN became APC after merging with smaller parties most notably CPC.

He never left his party the way OBI moved from APGA to PDP... while APGA is still existing and then PDP to LP and then ADC.... who knows the corny man next move..
