Anyone have any information on the Nigerian youngster, Ahmed Abdullahi in Sunderland?

How good is he and what are his future prospects?

I think the points deduction will be done before the qualifiers start. I believe strongly we will qualify.
Our possible qualification does not lie with us winning all of our games, but with the possibility of other teams dropping points as well. Not an optimistic position to be in, honestly.

Actually if we win all our remaining games in addition to the anticipated points deduction from SA it wouldn't matter what results other teams get because after SA the only other team is ahead by 3 points anyway.

I believe the CHAN Eagles still have a chance of making it out of the group stage ?

I just hope we dont get more heartbreaks --WCQ
The CHAN is not an heartbreak cos I don't care anyway about it.

World cup will be painful if we miss it. My hopes dimmed after we drew Zimbabwe which I consider a loss.

I don’t follow d npfl league but what I knw is dis crop of players who represented us na stark Olodo …Dey don’t have d football knowledge to decipher what d coach is trying to make dem do..watching d 1st fifteen minutes shows dt dis team is coached but to carry am out na d problem
I am not a coach. Even my technical knowledge is limited unlike my brother TheGoodJoe but I think I see what the problem is with our league or the kind of football education our players have.

The thing is that contemporary football is about what you can do with the ball AND how you interpret and use space.

It appears our local players have very little knowledge about how to use and interpret space. We are still stuck with dribbling, passing and routine football skills.

In contemporary football, it is not skills that wins. It is tactics.

The good thing about being a long term fan is that one has endured greater pain. Whatever happens, we move!

Massive take and full of insight.

I have talked about it before and will say it again. Our local football cannot move forward if we keep on working with the same terrible pitches.

That is where the first fix should take place. You can't play sound football on poor pitches.

This will enable more tactical players have the chance to develop their game and also standout.

Good pitches will give talented tactical coaches the room to excel in the league too.

Until then, we will continue this mediocre cycle of trying to force a cow to race as a horse.

Another thing is that I have also said we can have developmental programs with our national teams.

For instance the CHAN can be a long term project. Not one we just write list of players, stitch them together and hope all works out.

Making it a more grassroot program with long term scouting, training and development by a sound tactician. Then they participate in friendlies with local teams.

There should be a sound designated pitch for the project.

Something like this will take investment, planning and dedication. It will pay in the long run.

Unfortunately, we are run by people that are not passionate about football investment.

2nd half of this match was the blueprint for how to beat SA in September. Relentless pressing by Chippa United.

Good news!!!! I wish Ovie nothing but the very best. I would say he needs to first focus on getting well grounded in the team before any international football. This is the real return of the Mack!!!
