I just watched adam wharton. omo He is miles ahead of baleba, the guy understanding of game is similar to kroos, pedri and carrick.. player like that can last for decades. anything he does na sense, his vision and accuracy for passes beat the ball carrying ability of baleba by far. work smart vs work hard. na highly technical defensive midfielder. I will not be suprised if madrid sign that boy. Antony isn’t actually a bad player imo. Hutchinson and Madueke aren’t better than him. The real issue has been the pressure of the club and the weight of his transfer fee. He was being linked to Atletico Madrid and he looks like a Diego Simeone type of player but eventually nothing came of it.

As for Garnacho, choosing Chelsea is his business, that’s his choice. But the club must make sure Chelsea pays full value, nothing less than what Arsenal paid for Madueke. Both him and Chelsea dey craze if they think he’s leaving cheaply.

It is not about being a good or bad player. It is about that fact that he has played in the EPL already and struggled. Some of his struggles have to do with the dysfunction at the club but some of it also has to do with the increased physicality of the league compared to where he came from. Watch and see that a player like Gittens might struggle as well. No club in the EPL will pay 50m for Antony whether he claims to be a good player or not.

Garnacho insisting on Chelsea is actually more than his business. If he refuses to consider any club and Chelsea gives us a low-ball offer, we will be forced to either sell him at that offer or keep him here training alone and paying his salary for doing nothing while he burns a whole in our PSR balance. It is his insistence on Chelsea that has delayed some of our other moves this offseason because he is the one that could have gotten us the most money. A bidding war might have even gotten us more than Madueke money but now as only Chelsea is in the picture it will affect the fee. So, it is very much also our business.

This is short sighted. They are so many valued reasons why he would prefer Chelsea.

*He has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea and given his words. Xavi Simmons rejected the same Bayern to wait for Chelsea.

* He wants to continue in England a league he's already familiar and settled in with his family rather than going to a foreign country were he doesn't understand their language.

*He trusts himself to force his way into Chelsea first eleven as his only competition is Gittens tho truthfully is mediocre while at Bayern it would be Dias and Musiala when he's fit.

*How can Chelsea gain anything from flipping him if he isn't performing? The notion that Bayern are more no nonsense than Chelsea is also ridiculous and backed by nothing.

Wharton is nothing like those players plus his passing accuracy is 76% which is mediocre tho I still prefer him to Baleba. Seems Amorim is not interested in a midfield controller but an all round physical box to box center midfielder.

His pass accuracy vs Chelsea was 73%, vs Liverpool was 68%. Accurate long balls vs Liverpool was 0/6. Was dribbled past 4 times vs Chelsea. The less said about his defensive contributions vs both teams the better. The only commendable area against Chelsea and Liverpool was in creativity. Created 4 big chances and had 6 key passes.
