Eze waited for Spurs till Arsenal hijacked the deal

Cunha has just one red card in his career. It's unbelievable

He accumulates yellow cards though.

42 yellow cards and 1 red.

Eze to Arsenal is very problematic.

Some United accounts are piling on Ugarte for injuring Harvetz thereby triggering this Eze move to them.

cheesy cheesy

The way Arsenal hijacked that deal from Spurs needs to be investigated though...

Not sure it took 2 days...lol

Arteta would be under intense pressure this season. Not sure Arsenal fans would be patient again....even the most compassionate ones!

The investments in the last couple of years have been quite significant

It didnt. Arsenal had been in touch with Eze for over a month. They just didnt pull the trigger on the deal until it was confirmed Havertz would be out for a while. Pretty much everything had been agreed ad they knew what Palace would accept.

It appears they also preferred and went ahead with the Madueke option..hence the decision to cool their pursuit of Eze earlier in the TW.

The speed at which they re-emerged to hijack and wrap up that deal within 2 days of Havertz injury though...

In a nutshell;

•Arsenal preferred Madueke to Eze and only resorted to Eze as a fall back option (Replacement for Havertz). The decision to pay that amount for Eze is another discussion entirely.

•Eze has rejected Spurs for Arsenal that had him as plan B cheesy

Poor Spurs

It could be more than problematic. Imagine Eze with space and better players around him. You also can't easily crowd Arsenal's right side so that means Saka with space.

I was actually more worried at Spurs getting Eze than Arsenal. Arsenal getting him I dont think makes a difference to us but Spurs getting him definitely impacts us directly so I'm happy he didnt go to Spurs.

Yeah, that is a point. I just want the pikin wey dem just born this year to have a chance to born him own pikin before Assanal wins a league title ni. grin

I guess the most important thing is for us to improve ourselves so that we don't have to unduly think about which club a player goes to.

No Spurs fans to troll on this thread. Spurs will always be spursy. Deadest club.

At least this is not as bad as what Assanal did to them over Petit. Now that one was diabolical.

And with their already solid defence, they're automatically favorites for the league.

Respect to Rasmus, it didn't work out for him but he's not a prick, hope he kicks on at Napoli or wherever he goes.

On our goalkeeper situation, I hope Bayindir continues in goal this weekend against Fulham, he gives more confidence than Onana, and his distribution is better than whatever we've seen from Onana so far.

It’s not his fault. Na condition make crayfish bend. If not for our unserious senior players, Garnacho wouldn’t have been getting minutes every week.

This , and fans like you know who fed his ego, and that killed his development.

That blunder just rendered his whole efforts useless..Else his distribution was perfect, haven't even seen Onana hit passes with such precision..

......now that dust has settled, here’s my take on Bayindir:

He did really well in his first game. I wouldn’t put the goal entirely on him, outfield players should have done more to shield him.

He commanded his area, ain’t afraid to play out from the back, distributed the ball nicely and looked full of confidence.

Honestly, I expected less from him, but he blew me away. I’d rather keep him in goal until he makes more mistakes, costly ones, repeatedly - perhaps in every game he played.

Let Onana enjoy the bench for now, until Bayindir shows he doesn’t deserve the spot.

You'd put him in goal until he makes more costly mistakes every game.

Is this a joke sir?

Even if the alternative is Onana, why will keep playing a goalkeeper that keeps making errors leading to goal every game?
