The psychological effects does not only affect the child in question but also the man! Many men; including myself, love children so much. Discovering that the child isn't theirs biologically after years of bonding can have devastating effects on the man as well as the child.

So, to prevent such psychological trauma, paternity should be determined early in life before the man and the child could bond. The man would now decide acceptance of the child or rejection. I know there are many men that would still accept such child regardless of paternity.

My opinion is that if you are young and give birth do dna test even if your wife is Mary magdaline, angel or pastors daugher. Do it before any bond is formed. Atleast you have the option to backout or continue. But if you are advanced in age, oga just take life as it is, don't go and search for what you do not want to find.
