Wow so Oyo is preferred to the FCT ,Rivers state,
Delta state, AkwaIbom in terms of relocation .

And kwara is having a higher relocation index than Rivers state. This is getting interesting.

Most people chose Oyo state.

People choose state based on many criteria. Affordability, security, relative opportunity, and night life.

Oyo state somehow is one of the states where you can get that guarantee.

No one will choose to go and live in any South East state because no security in that region.

Even Aziamakas won’t relocate to the East. Almost all of my guys that are from the East here never visit their hometown anytime they go to Nigeria.

If you pick 10 Ezeamakas and give them a free check to relocate to any state, 9 of them will pick state outside their region.

Insecurity don destroy that region.

Lol you only have the old ancestral Ibadan area that are brown roofs. Other part of Ibadan are lit.

If you’re going to live in FCT you need money. FCT is expensive compared to Ibadan and you can still enjoy life at least close to as you would do in FCT, even tho FCT will be more.

Most average people live in the outskirts of the main FCT either ways coz of affordability.

Even in USA, most people won’t tell you they want to willingly relocate to New York. I got a job in both NY and ATL after school and no one tell me before I chose ATL jejely because of affordability and me still getting the same kind of living.

House rent alone in New York go wound you and tax self no be play. That’s even with the fact that they pay you more in NY for the same job even in the same company. People still no wan go.

OYO state government should do everything in their power to make sure they protect the state from vampires. Oyo State is the power house of Yoruba people.

Two months ago I attended a program at Omi Adio, Ibadan and I am not impressed with the crowd am seeing everywhere.

SW leaders need to do something about the excessive migration into the region.

Ibadan that used to be very calm, peaceful with lesser stress has now turned to a over populated city just like Lagos.

Maybe you don’t understand migration pattern. Most NW folks will migrate to Kano/Kaduna the two major powerhouse in the region just like the central would rather prefer a not too expensive manageable powerhouse in the North central, reason Kwara probably made the list, most Kogi and Benie folks would rather try their luck in neighboring Kwara than going to start looking homeless in Abuja due to high standard of living in the city. The South west zone is simple, people are choosing yo stay in Ibadan for their own peace of mind than move over to overcrowded Lagos and Ogun state is an industrial state so folks will always move there for industrial jobs and Osun enjoy constant electricity so the pattern is quite understandable. Most south easterners move far away from home in most cases.
