I'm not even strong on Amorim in o. But there are some results against some opponents you see that you put the players and only the players on total blast.

A loss against a league two team isn't about tactics or any of that stuff. It's the players just going into it half-arsed. If Amorim can't motivate those brats to give their all on the pitch after that result, no one can.

People will just ignore all of that and jump on their favorite yearly thing to do. Which is to start expecting terrible results from a manager and then pounce when it eventually starts coming in.

I think what he meant by the "players speaking loud" is that:

•Specific instructions were given to the players prior to the game. I think he was particular about those instructions being carried out.

•The lack of intensity (and poor performance) especially in the 1st half despite his clear instructions, is the team's way of telling him that they don't trust his methods and would probably not be taking his orders any longer.

It's never clear with Amorim and his dodgy English atimes
You have a point. So if that's the case, he should be talking about leaving. It's a lost battle already. He can't win this fight

This is why man management is an extremely critical part of coaching nowadays.

It is so important that a coach with limited tactical abilities but has players willing to give 200% on his behalf, would go toe to toe with a tactical hybrid of Pep/Ferguson/Conte managing a group of world-class players that have downed tools!

There is a reason most clubs sack managers immediately they feel they have lost the dressing room.

Our man, from what we can see, is neither a tactical genius, nor a manager revered by his players (atleast from what he is insinuating).

This combo is a recipe for relegation.

Amorim didnt help matters with the way he managed certain scenarios last season and his pressers have also done more harm than good.

We do not have good wing backs and our midfielders do not have the legs....Amorim can not be so slow as not to know this...
He know he doesn't have the right personnel, he is just being stubborn or doesn't want to be seen as weak. In that emotional interview, he stated it clearly that he won't change his formation. It down to him resigning which i don't see happening, or getting sacked if result doesn't improve. The pressure going into the next game will be high, i for predict a big win with our forwards scoring plenty goal, but some people will turn my armless prediction into an agenda against Amorim...

The problem is always the coaches.
I'll tell you why.
For some reason we are an idealistic club. We're either trying to play the "united way" or trying to stick to a coach for so long so he becomes the new Ferguson.
This club is not "killing" coaches, we just make bad decisions either with appointments or with letting go at the right time.

Mourinho is Mourinho and always bleeps up his 3rd season, so how is that our fault?
Where has Mou not scattered in his 3rd season with toxicity? Madrid didn't waste time fooling themselves but simply got another coach when it became too toxic. They didn't sell all their squad to simply satisfy him.

Ole did well and has been our best coach. We elevated him with the opportunity we gave to him, till we made a mistake and signed Ronaldo. People call him amateur, but he kept things simple and got us the most positivity post Alex. I think he might have become the new Sir Alex if we gave him time. I think he's the only one that has deserved a chance.
Bottomline, we did him good and not actually tank his career, as he hadn't done anything special before United to suggest we "killed" him.

Ragnick. Well uneventful. philosophy coaches annoy me.

Ten hag is a great coach but a terrible recruiter. Give him a solid 11 and he'd probably do well.
He actually destroyed us with his terrible signings from Eredivisie. I guess this is where we could take the blame, cos I know Madrid isn't signing an Anthony for 80m.
Tenhag killed himself with his stupid waste of money which we still suffer from. I'm sure he has learnt that Leverkusen won't let him waste their money like we did foolishly.

Amorim is an actually terrible coach. He's the only clearly terrible coach we've had. A coach that fights the whole team and can't ever change formation is an obviously clueless buffoon.
You guys are really saying na we kill coach that brings in 2 defenders when trying to win a game? grin
What coach plays Bruno and Casemiro in a midfield 2? Is it the fans that made that happen?
Did we force him to play Mount ahead of two strikers?

Now the coming shocker that will destroy this season is the lack of depth. We have no single LW asides Cunha, guess who has frozen everybody out? Amorim!
Now he will start to cry when attacking players inevitably get injured because of being overplayed. Which big club doesn't have options on the bench? we've sold Garnacho now for peanuts, and this is a player who was serviceable at least!

Bottomline is, we have been unfortunate enough to sign wrong coaches and also, we have bad management who can't decide when to get rid of coaches at the right time.
All these talks of "culture", "rebuild" blablabla are just nonsense. Fire and hire like Chelsea till you get it right! Enough of trying to find the next Fergie!

As bad as Garnacho is, I would still pick him ahead of Zirkzee and Mount as a deputy to Cunha..

Unfortunately, it appears we are not looking to strengthen in that area

If we are not getting a replacement, then it's a bad move.

Amorim don use him big mouth pursue the boy.

Anyways, we are out of the Carabao cup, no European football and FA cup is till next year.

Na to make do with available options.

Exactly why it's not fair forcing him to be on the bench

We only have Saturday or Sunday games.

And after being winless in 3 games this man won't rotate shit..
Maino can't bench Bruno
He's not as gifted or strong or mobile or agile.
Can't outscore. Outrun. Out pass. Out create Bruno.

It's like vdb all over again

You think he's not a good man manager? I don't think there's any evidence of that. The level of indiscipline in the squad required the level of ruthlessness we saw from him.

You see, one thing I've learnt to do after seeing all the mess in the club over the years is to judge certain characteristics based on what I saw before they signed. I think Amorim is a really good man manager and has probably even relied on that more that anything else all through his coaching career. I think that's the reason he's shocked as to how things are unfolding. Players are not responding the way they should.

Do you look at Amorim and think he's not doing a good job, motivating these lots? Lmao. Let's be serious here. But they all go to the pitch and do whatever they want.

There's something seriously wrong with the club. The culture that makes some of our players e.g Mainoo, Amad, become shadow of themselves when they realize 'you have to fight for your place for now', 'you have to play at a different position '. They drop tools after little adversity. Same with the fools we just shipped out.

I could go on and on but what's the point. Sacking the manager will always be the 'exciting' thing to do.

His talent is not enough to cover for the level of indiscipline from that brat.

And I don't think anyone's crying for Mctominay or Greenwood. Mctominay is in Italy balling. Good for him. Hojlund will probably do the same. Doesn't mean anything. As for Greenwood, no one doubts his talent. The reason for his departure is 100% on him. Not on the fans or the club or anyone.

Bro you are spitting facts. But these guys are too emotional to see it.

Those fvkers at the club need serious mental cleansing.

This same players will go to another club and perform better because the culture and demands are different.

They have it in them but those bunch of losers don’t want to give their all except a few
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dreamxhaser: 7:09am On Aug 29, 2025
Well! The board have said they won’t sack Amorim.

I'm glad the board are backing him, maybe that will be a big Bleep you to the underperforming players to pull their fingers out and be better!

This should send a clear message to many players that the manager is going no where so they have to up their game and be able to play his style and whatever he demands or be sent to the bench.

How can we spend so much money on players and you come out and tell me that they can’t play to the managers demand/style. Are they mad? Even if you can’t play in a position effectively, try to put in the work and show effort instead of slacking around.

Same players put efforts during big games (when they are underdogs without pressure) and they play well in the respective positions you claim they are not good at.

Trashford that don’t use to press here went to Barca and starts putting in the work. So if the manager there plays him in a position he isn’t very comfortable with, he will starting walking on the pitch like he did here?
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 7:20am On Aug 29, 2025
Sincerely, in as much as I want results and not satisfied with what Amorim is serving, I don't want him to be sacked.

We've been there and done that. Over and over again.

Sack and hire like Chelsea and Madrid. Are you doing it like them? Are you getting the results they are getting? Our own version just leaves us going down and down. No improvements.

Make Amorim just dey abeg. The players will get used to him and his style abeg 🤣🤣🤣

I'm tired.
