You think he's not a good man manager? I don't think there's any evidence of that. The level of indiscipline in the squad required the level of ruthlessness we saw from him.

You see, one thing I've learnt to do after seeing all the mess in the club over the years is to judge certain characteristics based on what I saw before they signed. I think Amorim is a really good man manager and has probably even relied on that more that anything else all through his coaching career. I think that's the reason he's shocked as to how things are unfolding. Players are not responding the way they should.

Do you look at Amorim and think he's not doing a good job, motivating these lots? Lmao. Let's be serious here. But they all go to the pitch and do whatever they want.

There's something seriously wrong with the club. The culture that makes some of our players e.g Mainoo, Amad, become shadow of themselves when they realize 'you have to fight for your place for now', 'you have to play at a different position '. They drop tools after little adversity. Same with the fools we just shipped out.

I could go on and on but what's the point. Sacking the manager will always be the 'exciting' thing to do.
I know you people are looking closely for the next player to scapegoat. Una just never see yet. 😂

Someone has depleted the squad of bench options Una say na culture.
Why are we the only ones using excuse of culture?

Also he's definitely not a good man manager. You guys think being a good man manager is freezing everybody out but It's ensuring things don't even get to that level.
Under Ferguson and even Ole, we had plenty competition in the squad, and hardly did anyone make any noise.

You guys will understand when injuries kick in this season.

Ten Hag was not a good man manager, Ole was not a good man manager, Mourinho was not a good man manager. Now Amorim is not a good man manager. Hehehe.

Jazz go clear one day.

They will come with the usual rhetoric - we did not buy players for him. Yada yada yada. Very sentimental and emotional lots.

Amorim has a chance tomorrow to make his supporters happy. It’s Burnley. If we don’t beat them, and he does not get sacked immediately after that game, we are surely relegating. Funny thing is the EFL championship is also not a joke. Amorin boys, be careful what you wish for.

His talent is not enough to cover for the level of indiscipline from that brat.

And I don't think anyone's crying for Mctominay or Greenwood. Mctominay is in Italy balling. Good for him. Hojlund will probably do the same. Doesn't mean anything. As for Greenwood, no one doubts his talent. The reason for his departure is 100% on him. Not on the fans or the club or anyone.
So U are saying greenwood didn't have a worse attitude on the pitch ?

Greenwood wey no dey pass ball.

Mr shoot on sight

Chelsea are getting a 70m player for 40m kudos to them.

He would definitely be sold for X2 that amount

I think losing to Grimsby was an onana fault but still coach needs to work on how you guys attack ..

The distance between your front three is farther than Nigeria to Ghana
I don’t disagree about that at all. Amorim had 5 players in defensive positions on the pitch and they were all useless.

But that doesn’t mean these players shouldn’t be able to string together a few passes, camp in the opponent half and make them beg for mercy. Grimsby outran us physically. That is totally unacceptable.

Someone that does not inspire any fuvking confidence. Hiding during penalties against some 4th club division club. If na PK against City or Chelsea nko? He will run away from the stadium. God, this is a major mistake.

Is the club ready to give players the boot after 1-2 years of underperformance or its just for the coach?

If the keeper messes up a simple catch or punch, will the keeper be sold immediately or just the coach has to go?
PSG were brutal in player recruitment. If you don’t shape up, they bin you in 1-2 years. We have to be ruthless about players as well in addition to coaches too.

I thought Amorim selected a leadership team of 5 senior players

Has anyone of them even come out to Apologise and back the manager after that embarrassment at Grimsby?
Most of those 5 are parts of the problem. Dalot, Maguire, lol. Amorim deserves the sack for appointing those guys to that leadership position alone.

•For manager joining newly at a big club, public condemnation of your players in big 2025 would most likely cause more harm than good. It is even worse when the manager has ZERO EXPERIENCE managing big egos, superstars and Global household names. The "Hey guys, a new sherrif is in town. Y'all better shape up or ship out" approach would work better at places like Sporting where the players are relatively unknown, and the club under less scrutiny.

•There was absolutely no reason for his disparaging comments about Rashford in the public domain. It was so bad that he kept on talking about the fella even when that one had joined Villa. He literally made the whole thing look personal with his constant tirades and comments.
Guess who couldn't resist the urge to talk about Antony's performances at Betis?

•One would have thought that he was in a transitional phase at that time, only for him to open his big mouth and chat shít about Maino just last week. Did he need to insinuate that he is unfit for the system? Was the remark about him competing with Bruno for a slot necessary? I keep on wondering what has happened to the Normal "XYZ is a good player - there are enough games to go round for everyone" Mantra.

•Labelling your team as the worst in the history of the club, talking about endless suffering and threatening the players with clear outs would almost always complicate things at a big club. It is worse when the manager in question is new and has NO pre existing PEDIGREE or REPUTATION per say.

•All i see is a man trying to instill FEAR in his players. An Emotionally intelligent manager would be more concerned with RESPECT, especially under the aforementioned circumstances.

Thankfully, the man is aware that he can't change 22 players!
You're talking about what's obtainable in 2025 as per manger's treatments of players lmao. That's just an excuse to find particular faults in the manager.

Do you need a recap on Rashford's and Garnacho's transgressions immediately Amorim got there? I think they apologized but guess what Rashford did after?

So what you're saying is, he should keep a player with that type of level of influence in the squad because he doesn't want to give an explanation to the media as to what the reason is for that level of ruthlessness. What I understand about all these is, once you don't get results, everything you do will be considered totally wrong.

As for the Mainoo thing, he literally mentioned something we all knew right from the beginning.

Wtf didn't know Bruno was going to play the 2nd CM role and that's the only role Mainoo can play in the system. We've known this for months but Amorim suddenly mentions it and the Media plays their usual game and we all fall for it as usual. It's actually hilarious 😹.

Players are bigger than coaches nowadays and there is nothing anyone can do about it. If you get strong head as a manager, you will lose out on talents and won’t be successful. It is what it is!

Pep is an Emotionally Intelligent manager who would rather douse tension and prevent the press from fuelling the flames of discord and rift in his team.

He could have leveraged on his reputation and made issues out of it but he didnt.

Some managers are just not ready for jobs at certain clubs

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 1:14pm On Aug 29, 2025
People saying the players could have won the game without the manager’s input. Question is, what if the current system and instruction limits them from playing their game? It’s one thing to allow the players to do their thing without restrictions, it’s another to impose some shitty system on them and expect them to do their thing.

Tie a professional boxer’s hands against a rookie, and expect the boxer to win, no be juju be that? He will be beaten mercilessly.

Someone was comparing Amorim’s actions to Pep’s the other day, re man management. Pep that has won everything in football, and despite that, still find ways to effectively manage his players. Yes, there are one or two rifts which happen once in a while. Meanwhile, Amorim has fought with 5 players in less than one year. Chai!

Not that I'm backing him totally or anything. It just doesn't make sense that we keep coming to this point everytime.

As someone with a functional brain, when you see a cycle constantly repeat itself, you have to step back and calculate.

Fought is an exaggeration ...

They wouldn't follow by his rules and in the heirachy of a club , A manager is above the players in which technically, he is their boss ...

This one you're saying a talented player upgrade a coach persona as a coach .. That's not entirely through.

The manager and the players share a mutual benefit advantage in regards to that situation..

A bad coach and a bad tactics can make a very talented player look like sheet so does a bad player ..

And in this case , the player has more to lose than that manager ...
