TrebleChamp:
Seem like United have accepted a fee to sell Antony to Betis, but the amount wasn't stated. Is it that the Club is too embarrassed to disclose how much they are selling Antony for? Anything less than £30m is fvking crazy...

Looks like they’re gathering funds for a massive midfield buy.

Someone that does not inspire any fuvking confidence. Hiding during penalties against some 4th club division club. If na PK against City or Chelsea nko? He will run away from the stadium. God, this is a major mistake.

Fvking disgraceful fee in my opinion, but the 50% sell on makes plenty sense..

Amorim:"If I think it is better to change, I would change right away. But if I am going to change to something I don’t believe, the players will say he is telling us things he doesn’t believe. We didn’t lose against Grimsby because of the system."

Nah

They kept on asking him because his initial responses made juicy headlines - he was a sure banker to always take the bait!

If he felt Rashford was not needed, take the decision and bloody move on. There was absolutely no need to be whining about it 24/7

Journalists are literally cancelling other interviews to attend Man utd pressers ; with Amorim the loud mouth, they are sure to get extra loads of traffic. grin

Interviews like that usually create an unnecessarily tense atmosphere in the dressing room.

It is even surprising that people are saying that he has lost the dressing room cos tbh, you cant lose what you don't have.

I would be gobsmacked if any player at the club would want to put in 100% effort for such a vile, attention seeking talkative.

The manager has been largely responsible for his poor performances with his arrogance, stubbornness and horrible man management.

The facts are there for all to see.

We definitely could do without the negative PR that Amorim attracts on a weekly basis. It is counter productive to the recovery plans of the club.
Questions were asked and he answered. Simple! Making the decision and moving on was what he did exactly. Whatever answer he gave to that question is simple and clear. If the press keep answering, you have to give a clear answer as to why a popular, home-grown player like Rashford was frozen out of the squad.

I don't get how you don't see that, saying he lost the dressing room because of these simple interviews is a huge problem. Like what will the next manager do to quickly lose the dressing room?

Check how many times Amorim threatened to leave at his first club and at sporting. You know what happens? The players responded immediately and fought on the pitch. Instead , a tense atmosphere is what's created in the midst of these highly paid professionals abi😹? Last last we go dey okay.

Nah, he kept on whining like a pre-pubescent girl experiencing an emotional meltdown after her 1st breakup.

I repeat - he isnt the 1st manager that would initiate a clear out at a top club. Unfortunately, he made a mess of the whole thing and had to be answering unnecessary questions every Friday.

He is a disgrace!!

This is why I said such an approach would suit small clubs like Sporting and Club Brugge.

He should return there to continue threatening their hierarchy as the tyrant wannabe that he is.

Amorim has repeatedly proven that he isnt ready to manage at the highest level with his pathetic utterances and despicable mannerism.

He epitomises everything a manager at a top club ought not to be!!

Quoting rumor reports from daily Mail to butress your agenda is so hilarious.

In reality, the poor results is the real reason anyone wants Amorim out. And that's solely on getting the players to understand and implement the tactics perfectly. If he continues to fail to do that, then he'll leave. It's that simple.

What I hate is within that period that the manager fights to get the team to lock in and do what's needed to do cuz there's no time, fans like you buy into regular agenda from the media and turn the club into a pressure cooker.

Labelling the manager a tyrant cuz he did the needful is crazy. Only United fans will curse players all season, asking for them to be sold for indiscipline and what not, then turn on the manager when he finally does it.

The man should have stuck with Rashford after showing he lacks zero respect for a manager that just came in after these lots sacked the last one?

Or he should have whispered into Garnacho's ears angrily after the brat threw him under the bus at the worst moment of the season. So that leaks from his conversations with the player won't get out?

Oh, he probably should go the Ole route and kneel down to beg these players that what can he do to change things at the club and get the players fighting 100%.

We'll keep doing this again and again and again. I'm guessing the next manager will 'probably be too soft'. You'll hear 'We need someone like Roy Keane to instill some discipline into this squad '.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by ChristoBam: 6:37am On Aug 30, 2025
Teams will have really good players sit on the bench and wait for a chance to cement their spot. But not United. We dare not bench any talented player. Those ones too will allow the noise get to their heads and start misbehaving.

That player that's not getting a chance will be exhibit one.

The reasons behind the shambolic performances and dreadful results have to be analysed. His poor man's management and pathetic communication abilities have significantly contributed to his struggles.

Whats crazier is consistently throwing your players under the bus..only to come back and insinuate that they "spoke in a loud voice"

No be juju be that?

•The sensible thing any new manager at a massive club tries to do in a crisis situation, is to get the players on board with him. If need be, he would then tactfully and sensibly implement a clear out in a systematic manner that wouldnt dampen the morale and psyche of the team with the club's image as top priority.

•Amorim, with ZERO pedigree and experience at Top management, on the other hand, decided to adopt the "new Sherrif is in town, y'all gotta shape up or ship out" mantra... braggadocio style.

•He consistently put the club on the wrong side of the press with his meaningless rants and endless squabbles with players in the public domain

•Amorim isnt Emotionally Intelligent!

•Man utd isnt Sporting Lisbon or Casa Pia where he would be issuing threats left right and centre. He lacks the reputation to be holding the club to ransom with incessant warnings and emotional tantrums.

•As a manager of Manchester United, he needs to start applying decorum, finesse and wisdom during media engagements.

•Currently, he is nothing but an arrogant and pathetic failure with a mouth bigger than his tactical prowess!

Don’t worry, Mainoo, Yoro, Heavens, Sesko and others will soon follow Rashford footsteps just like Garnacho. Shebi it’s indisciplined players you guys fancy at your club, and it’s important the manager enables it.

When Maresca got to Chelsea, he stamped his authority, demanded more from the players and froze out those he felt were cancer or not needed in the team. He was supported because at Chelsea, you either fight to survive or get out.
Arteta did something similar at Arsenal too. Guardiola did it in his first and second seasons at Barcelona. I’m using those examples since you believe Amorim doesn’t have the pedigree to make adjustments.

But I agree with the interview part.

You’ve summarized one of Man United’s major problem since Mourinho days. Very soon the likes of Mainoo, Yoro and others will buy into that idea since it’s the fancy thing to do at the club and there are rewards for it.
