ReesheesuKnack:Someone/people definitely has it in for Rayner, possibly within her own party (front bench even. "Et tu Brutus?" lol) - these leaks and damaging headlines that have been trending for weeks are not a coincidence - ahead of Labour's party conference, especially as she's recently been touted as Keir's likely replacement. Reeves is also on very shaky ground. She appears too craven to go after the wealthy so the Autumn/Winter budget is likely to squeeze the middle class even more and lead to more discontent. It's unprecedented how low Labour's poll ratings are, just one year after the GE. Around 10 points behind Reform and only a few points ahead of the Tories who suffered a huge defeat.

Goke7:Yes but difference is Sunak's wife wasn't a politician who campaigned heavily on a moral platform and was very vocal in criticising other MPs like Zawahi. I feel a bit for Rayner though, her excuse sounds plausible based on the living arrangement between her ex and her son who requires care, and I think she's said that she will repay the balance. |

Taal17:I got fully paid on the 28th of July I think they need to improve on theor management skills, it's poor and rigid. I posted it on two different thread and got responses. have you been able to reach out to them via email or phone? What are they saying to you? |

Zahra29:As long as she can prove to the ethics chap that she took appropriate legal/tax advice and that she told the adviser(s) in question the full facts regarding her situation and they based their advice on that, then she'll be in the clear. I'm not invested in her or any other Labour leader staying in office, but would really like Labour to avoid a situation where their big beasts are falling on their swords and thus making the government look ramshackle, with all that entails. |

gabiomoesu:Brotherly, you don’t need to pay yourself until the start date on your cos and after your visa has been approved. This is important, especially if you’re not currently sponsored by any company, as you’re not permitted to take on paid work without being under a valid sponsorship for a fulltime role. I did not trade with my company or pay myself via my company until I had gotten my visa. What I did instead was provide screenshots of email conversations with a few people who had inquired about my services when I applied for the sponsorship license. For example, if you obtain the sponsorship licence at the end of October, you’ll likely receive 1 cos allocation. Your authorizing officer is the person that logs into sms to generate the cos and same person that the home office will be reaching out to via email or phone in future. When they send an update on the sponsorship license application, it will be to the autorizing officer's email you provided. Modified to include this: If you can, can you use a custom domain email platform? So, you have email@your-company-name. They are really cheap! I would recommend having an email account opened for your authorizing officer with their name@your-company-name and avoid having them usie their private email address. Feel free to ask here or shoot me an email if anything is unclear. |

oluwaleokey:It's for family member, the rep who set it up keeps saying it's from head office that she will followup. It's been one month now. No response to emails. Do you mind sharing where others provided responses? |

Taal17:Have tried access the account. Try doing so and you would get full details of what's going on with the policy except the rep never set up the account in the first place. I go different response from this thread as well https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/9504#136535552 |

brine:That's exactly what your previous answer made me understand. Thanks for clarifying again. For example, if you obtain the sponsorship licence at the end of October, you’ll likely receive 1 cos allocation.Perfectly understood! Your authorizing officer is the person that logs into sms to generate the cos and same person that the home office will be reaching out to via email or phone in future. When they send an update on the sponsorship license application, it will be to the autorizing officer's email you provided.Got it! Modified to include this:Ah bros! I already did this since. I purchased a domain name from namecheap and have already created 2 email addresses using Zoho mail with the domain name for administrative purposes already, all with the help of chatgpt. Thanks for mentioning this brother. |

Homelessness minister resigned, due to housing/tenancy magomago....... Housing secretary, might resign or be sacked, due to stamp duty magomago....... Those that make the laws, are happy to bend them (by attempting to exploit loopholes).... 😂😁😊 Who next..... That girl from accounts....... 😁😂🧒 |

Cyberknight:Unfortunately looks like Labour is set to lose one of their biggest beasts, with the conveyancing firm already coming out to claim "Not me, Guv" - unless the other 2 advice givers check out. All eyes will be on the Magnus report likely due this afternoon. If she does go, timing will be particularly uncomfortable as Reform will surely make political capital of it during their conference this weekend. |

| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 12:29pm On Sep 05, 2025 |
Cyberknight:A bit of a shame, all things considered, and a massive loss for Labour. The membership typically votes for deputy leader, I think Wes might be quite popular. I wonder who will inherit the unenviable job of housing secretary, with the impracticable promise to build >1M new homes by 2029. |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Jamesclooney: 2:11pm On Sep 05, 2025 |
Cyberknight:These Labour politicians are quite naive, I must say. What was the point of releasing all that personal information and backstory, and of Keir Starmer backing her at PMQs, if she was going to resign anyway? Why make her exit needlessly painful and drawn-out? Truly, this government is inching closer to a General Election, and that’s not good news for immigrants. Smh |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Cyberknight: 3:48pm On Sep 05, 2025 |
Zahra29:Maybe the chap with the delightful name - Pennycook. Hopefully Ange gets back into government or writes a book soon - she's lost her ministerial salary and in the ordinary (stress on "ordinary" course of things that's knocked her "affordability" for six. |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Cyberknight: 3:50pm On Sep 05, 2025 |
Jamesclooney:That's the key thing. Here's hoping that this Labour government keeps it together and lasts till '29, and even if it defaults to being "not-Reform" till then. |

No worries, Farage will also liberate the UK just as Trump is liberating its workers from their jobs.

Aunty should please pay up her balance, simple! However, many will also refer to Sunak's wife, who underpaid or never paid at all. Politicians are the same everywhere!
