Why is our coach limiting Ademola Lookman ?
It could cost us.
Journalists should ask him pls
Moses wouldn’t produce the efficiency Lookman has on that wing
We are struggling to get goals
Sir, your posts are sometimes baffling and head scratching....did you watch our last match? Lookman limited how? Lookman had freedom. Moses Simon was effective in our last match.

Nigeria do not have a strong national team. Nigerians are deceived by the hype around their Europe born players who are usually only average or below average

Nigeria has no creative midfielders. They have an average winger — Simon who has a rather poor end product. The stats also prove that Nigeria has a very weak attack force and have no world-class strikers— forget the hype around the drama-king, osimhen.

South Africa will be too strong for this Nigerian team come Tuesday, Mark my words. Even if Nigeria strangely manages to pick all three points because of the uncertainty of football results sometimes, South Africa still will lead the table with superior points and goals.

Nigeria must disband this current set up and start rebuilding for 2030.

so we should disband the team, and also disband the two african football players of the year in the team….and pick your new team from the Nigerian players playing in Barca,ManU,Arsenal,Liverpool,Madrid….or go onto NPFL and pick a formidable super eagles CHAN winning squad….or pick all the u20 boys to go play Afcon in december……

abeg shift!

everytime ppl go dey shout disband…plss has there ever been a time our SE team was wholesomely disbanded?….

It's not decided yet. CAF/FIFA can still say that that Eritrea's group is off the picture and still go ahead with the 6-team permutation. It's a 50:50 decision that they'll have to take.
Care to explain this 6 team permutation?

On betting platforms, odds are against us. But I no dey fear seh. Na the unavailability of Osimhen don drop my confidence small, but even with a crippled squad we can't lose to South Africa.

In our last 10 meetings, South Africa has 1 win, 4 draws and Nigeria has 5 wins.

The last time we played them, see who and who we played against them and we still drew the game, coming from a goal down.

Finidi George (Coach) 😂
Onuachu (CF)
Benjamin Tanimu (LB)
Osayi Samuel (RB)
Semi Ajayi (CB)
Iheanacho (LMF)

This will be their replacements in this current squad.
Éric Chelle (Coach)
Tolu/Dessers (CF)
Felix Agu/Bruno Onyemaechi (LB)
Ola Aina (RB)
Benjamin Fredrick/Ekong (CB)
Chukwueze, Lookman, Simon, Iwobi, Uche, Onyedika, Onyeka, etc...

The squad strength and value is different now, and the South Africa have even lost some important players over the months since we played them.

Even their unbeaten streak wey we dey talk na against small Southern African teams too, no serious opponents. We will beat them joor.

Lemme add that in Manager H2H, Éric Chelle [1]–[0] Hugo Broos

Éric Chelle will be looking to make it [2]–[0].
Sodiq was the one who actually played RB against them.

The demanding idea is based in the fact that we should go back to the grassroots and pick talented players but football academies are already doing that job. Tolu arokodare, chrisantus uche, Benjamin Frederick, Victor osimhen etc are from the grassroots. We just need to introduce some new players and chelle is already doing that. The disband idea is overstated

Also, it's as if they're not motivated by the chance of playing in the world cup except few of them like Osimhen that's not playing and maybe Tolu. They are not fighting and chasing down every loose ball, just being lackadaisical.
Osihmen had to be shouting from the bench to the boys to push the ball forward to attack in the dying moments of the game, it was as if the boys were waiting for Rwanda to equalise

The way you all underrate Iwobi in this super eagles is surprising. He has his own limitations o but in that midfield, he attempts the most forward passes, vertical passes and linebreaking passes. In another team, that technique is Gold
Can’t he drive through the middle up field to lay those killer passes instead of drifting towards the wings abeg the thing don tire person jare our boys need to be more African in their play.

There's a reason why he's the player with the most passes into the penalty box in the Premier League this season and top 5 players with the most completed through passes in the top 5 leagues last season.

this is what prompted my response, calling Osimhen nothing but hype…..
This is not even a disbanding or overhauling issue, our last 3 world cup qualifying game showed that this whole thing is a mentality(from the boys) and administrative(from the FA) thing ……we have good young ballers currently but our starting to this qualifiers was poor mentally and administratively….
How come suddenly we are now able to rack up 7points in 3games….the same sqaud you are saying they should disband abi overhaul will still reach afcon with same winning mentality they will brush teams aside and get to the final….
Do we need addition of fresh young boys? YES!
Do we need to disband the team! NO!

instead start scouting to replace the aging players in the team gradually…
which one be disband!!
Osimhen…hype!!
abeggi!

Do you know how many tackles and recoveries Iwobi made against Rwanda from my eye test.
Iwobi made a goal line clearance.

Iwobi's primary role in midfield is not a defensive role, even if it is.
You need a trained eye to assess a player's involvements. A player may not rush into duels, but has a way of blocking passing channels.
Some players needs to be be free sometimes in order to receive passes depending on the team's structure and tactics of the day.

Can we see more of this in the national team? I don’t think it’s too much to ask for. If we don’t qualify no matter how much we defend iwobi questions will continue to be asked. We can’t blame the coach alone without asking questions on some of our players

In the last 3 years, compare GA of both players in that position
We will struggle to get goals
Our only chance is to play the most efficient players in their best positions
Im not saying Simon is bad, I mean you stand a chance of getting more goals if you play our best players in their natural positions so that individual brilliance can help us win convincingly. It’s still a disjointed team
Lookman is better than Moses at that position, even though he can sometimes be selfish
I watched the game twice already
We really need to finish off teams & not struggle for goals.
2 goals to nil in a game is definitely a convincing win
I hope the SA game goes well because hmmm

We have good players that are above average.

Let's take for instance the Moses Simon that you mentioned.

The highest goal assists made by a player in the just concluded french ligue was 11, Moses Simon had 10.
Those are not stats for an average player.

He was at a time leading in the assists ranking. He did it in a team like Nantes, not the PSG, Marseille or Monaco of this world.

We have a very good team.

See Ehn the way Nigeria will trash South Africa 3-0 will shock them. grin

If they were playing an over confident super eagles at home in uyo I would have been scared, but playing an eagles that’s almost down and out in South Africa, Oya na.

Before South Africa knows what’s happening it’s 3-0.

This things just happens in football, though unexplainable, just the way Argentina no matter how bad will beat Nigeria at world, the same no matter how bad a Ghana team is, they will be very tough for Nigeria to beat, na the same way Nigeria go beat South Africa tomorrow.

If it was in uyo they would stand a chance, but in their home, they will collect.
