Meliforme:But reality is if Simon tries most of his nonsense plays he does while in Nigeria colors in his club, he will be promptly benched. I think we forget that at clubside, it is business and not oga ta , oga o ta! |

Dannyxy:Records are meant to be broken. This SA team have been improving while SE has been on retrogression. A word of caution to you and all other hopefuls. Reduce your optimism abit tomorrow so that you don't hurt yourself. If we win by any stroke of luck, fine. But if we lose or draw, at least you will not be too heartbroken. You would be prepared for it. I am trying to see any chance of we winning but I can't see any considering the way we currently play. It is pathetic..., the boys don't even believe in themselves. Frankly tho, I hope I am wrong. |

kennysville:Moses played so well against Rwanda and to be specific, everytime he was with the ball, 2 players were always on him and the goal was as a result of him drawing 2 players to himself creating the gap onyemachi ran into for the layoff from tolu. Moses is a silent achiever dedicated to the national team and always available, he might have his down days but his defensive ability also helps the team. |

Goke7:U are talking rubbish why single out iwobi when he is one of the best perfomers in the team. When u talk abt people who cost us our chances u talk abt Aina against Benin cost us a goal Lookman against lesotho mised 2 sitters and was selfish. Then uzoho allowing a careless goal( even tho he is no more in the team. But these are people who cost us precious 6points. Iwobi is no where near it. >: ![]() |

bingbagbo:I agree Nigeria doesn't have a strong national team but our players are not dependent in Euro based players. Onyedika, Osimhen, Fredrick, Chukwueze etc are not European born. |

realpoacher:I'm not convinced that the SE will win tomorrow, but I pray and hope they do. But one thing I have learnt of the SE, they surprises when you least expect, that's how they got to the last Afcon final and the same way they won their last Afcon. |

NIGHTMARE0O7:Let us continue until we are out of the World Cup and blame others but we shouldn’t talk about others too. And please there’s no best performer in that team if you can’t beat Zimbabwe at home. And thank your stars for the risk Arokodare took to get that ball over the line cos apart from that I wonder what best performance you’re talking about and why don’t you wait till tomorrow and let’s see what your best performers will do I hope you’re aware that anything less than a 3 points is a failure if you like come and talk about best performer again. Phew |

minfelix:Bro I didn’t watch it but dis is not new …using “24hour” rule wout complaint from the opponent team…dis is not new ,no be now we just Dey hear dt excuse In our own case, nobody complained,in fact Algeria 🇩🇿 didn’t lodge any complaint…FIFA ACTED INDEPENDENTLY ,and d points were removed . The last statement makes our case even stronger b4 FIFA … so if dt is dere excuse ,den Dey don’t have a point …what’s good for the goose 🪿 is also good for the gander |

Goke7:U are the one playing blame ame u are still the one talking . singled out iwobi when the whole team has been mess .im simply trying to tell u the people u should blame amd iwobi is far from it. Also note that without onyemaechi drive into the box there will be no Arokodare goal. |

elyte89:My point here is they can hold on to that particular “clause-in-protest” to drag the matter to CAS…cos since its also in stated in the rule it should also have effect… in our own case, a mail was sent to our federation that a player is ineligible to play, but the excuse NFF gave was that, the person incharge of accessing NFF mails was ill…so why did Fifa not notify SAFA of a potential ineligible player?…abi them self forget their job?🤣 |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 4:23pm On Sep 08, 2025 |
Odunayaw:Then FIFA rule is imperfect then…they should have included or mentioned protest clause in that article…cos FA’s will leverage on that to bring up arguement, especially when the eyebrow is being raised indirectly from another opponent(Nigeria) ….remember on that video the analyst said from an amended article of 2023…so its like a reviewed rule ooo…abeg go watch the video🙏 |

NIGHTMARE0O7:Once the team fails no player can be excluded and that’s where we are always hypocritical I didn’t even single out iwobi I only asked why can’t we see more but I have noticed here that other players including osihmen, Simon, Ademola etc can be singled out but not Iwobi. Our midfield is still crap and who are the players in there? Nwabali? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Dannyxy(m): 4:36pm On Sep 08, 2025 |
minfelix:see the nonsense I was saying about Nigeria and anyhow ness, see what our journalists are saying, instead forcing conversation about how South Africa should be punished, they creating scenarios to circumvent punishment, very poor society with no order mindset. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Dannyxy(m): 4:38pm On Sep 08, 2025 |
Try play a suspended player against North Africans you, then you come and make excuses of 24 hours or that they did not tell you that your player had “two yellow cards” Try it. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 4:48pm On Sep 08, 2025 |
Dannyxy:😂 We be big brother na we no need the points deduction. Our off the pitch politics and antics never connect to our on the pitch ambitions as a soccer nation. In fact the Libya issue then was the first time I saw Nigeria taking an off the pitch issue very seriously which was because of how Ekong voiced out to the entire world. |

minfelix:There is no amendment to that aspect. No review. Neither did he say anything about the rule being reviewed. I watched it then. I watched it now. Like I said, he didn't discover a breakthrough. Broos himself has appealed to it to which Rohr refuted citing our 2018 experience. If FIFA wants to set up a bad precedence, they can go ahead. |

Goke7:Bro stop lying when ur coment is there looking at u.. u said only the coach cant be blamed that question should be asked to iwobi too. Some1 quoted u to correct u u still maintained ur coment thay questions should be asked to iwobi. There is no other player u mentioned there aside iwobi. But now u want to deny ur own coment..?? ![]() Naah!!. im too smart for that gaslighting game u want play. |

Meliforme:Iwobi is always their scapegoat because his name is easy to pronounce or type. Some don't watch ball analytically. All they see is result and goals. |

mank1234:Asin ehn always the scape goat for them. After tomorrows match iwobi will be the 5th MOST CAPPED S.E PLAYER OF ALL TIME Still they dont appreciate his work. Last month i sat down to watch all the matches and realised how players like Lookman has cost us points missing clear sitters and being selfish to shoot rather than pass the ball to better positioned player. But hey we shouldnt talk abt that becoz he is african best |
