1985 - 2010 or so. It was still in the market. It's the premium vegetable oil for all occasions. Doubt if it's still in the market. It's a very old brand that only Gen X people will remember.

If you remember this, then you are old, or getting old o cheesy
Old age is a blessing
Not everyone is privileged to experience it.
Yes,I am old because I am alive
But if I die now, they will say I died young.

In June 2022,a young man was insulting me with being an old woman simply because I cautioned him on the disrespectful way he addressed an elderly man.

I replied him " Since old age is a curse, may you no know what old age is.You will never live to my age.Write down today's date".

He kept fuming and abusing me.
I ignored him.
June 2023,I saw his obituary pictures on Facebook.

He was only 19 years old, died from a 1 day illness.
Imagine.
He didn't even get to 20 and he was busy insulting a 35 year old .

These new generation kids sha.

Things don spoil for Nigeria no be small.

There was a time when almost every home in Nigeria could afford to buy this cooking oil sad
Then, the middle was more than 95%!!

Middle class, the backbone of any thriving economy. As of when PDP left the government, that class was close to 75%. The government of Buhari reduced and eroded it to 40%.
Tinubu now exacerbated it to 3% and still going down. By January 2026, with all the tax reforms, that remaining percent will be gone.

That is why major brands are closing shops. The ones remaining are either selling at exorbitant prices and at a lower quality or higher price with reduced quantity.

Hopefully when the full tax reform takes place which everyone that has an account must have a TIN (Tax Identification Number), and the impact becomes obvious, then we can now begin to hold our political office holders responsible and begin to elect the best of us to lead instead of the current state capture by persons with questionable characters, ex-convits, cultists, terrorists and religious fanatics, etc

But if you will be honest, it's a worldwide phenomenon , the global middle class has shrunk significantly in the last decade.

Did the person you quoted ever despise people who are old like there is something wrong with old age? Why read another meaning into his statement? And who asked for the unsolicited story?

I would advise that you people know the different generations age ranges so that you stop using it out of context. You said 1985-2010 and its only gen x that will know it….so you don’t have millennials and gen z within this your time scope?
