Ogbono for sure.
Just that people don't know difference between ogbono and ugiri. Both fruits look alike, but ugiri is light green while ogbono is dark green. Ugiri fruit is edible while ogbono is not. The seeds are slightly different too. While ugiri is light brown, ogbono is dark brown.
And when used to cook, ogbono draws highly while ugiri draws slightly.
It's only those grew up in the village that know the difference and request for the right one

It’s spelt “okra”, not “okro”.
That said, I prefer a mix of both with lots of ugwu.

When I got to Sierra Leone I discovered they use both okra and ogbono as sauce to eat rice.

They refer to ogbono as "tula" and they cook it quite differently, if you see the end product u fot no believe say na ogbono be that.

But guess what...
When I finally tried the rice and tula(ogbono)/rice and okra I got hooked.

Okro is the best. You will feel the crunchy part of it plus its more nutritional.

If you wan enjoy okro... just slice it raw and steam a little, then combine with any tomatoes or garden egg sauce.

And eat with what? Swallow or yam? What you just described is yam sauce not soup.

Tough choice my brother. Health wise Okro is better but taste wise no beating Ogbono!!!
