A40:I would never rank Hamilton over Schumacher because my bias wouldn't let me. Schuey trained as a mechanic, and knew a lot more about cars than Hamilton who never learnt to set up his cart not to talk of contribute to building an F1 car, which is what Ferrari need at the moment. And he was a superb driver who could get cars to do what they shouldn't be capable of doing. If Hamilton however gets this car to win races, I'd have to eat my hat and accept the facts of his greatness. |

budaatum:Not even about bias though it's the truth. This era of casuals that didn't see prime Schumacher so they can't make informed opinions Schumacher was just different gravy and if you didn't live through that era you couldn't understand it. Ham is gifted but relies more on aura. Schummie was a blue collar grinder. Didn't just drive but was hands on Nothing Ferrari and Ham can do unless they get a rocket ship of a car. Even in his prime he could barely compete without the best car on the grid never mind now. His days of winning more than one race a year is done tbh |

Max on pole. |

Max on pole. How does he do it? Just how is he going toe to toe with those 🚀 with his Keke Napep |

Max won! I love Tsunoda, but RB should please sack him now. And I can't understand why the teams fuqup is Piastri's fault. If RB try that rubbish with Max, he'd tell them where to go.

Best driver showing his class again. Fastest race in history and doing it with what's at best the 3rd best car on the grid. If they all had the same car this title race would not even be competitive. |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by chris81964(m): 6:00am On Sep 08, 2025 |
A40:It is not the 3rd best car. It is the best car. We keep under estimating a team that has won 8 championships. Well done Max. |

budaatum:Lewis learnt how to set up his car in record time, in 2007 when Alonso started to hide his data, Lewis learnt how to set up his car with the help of Mika Hakkinen, Schumacher was nowhere until when Ferrari was allowed unlimited testing before Ferrari managed to get its car into the window, they can compete with also the bespoke Bridgestone tyres specially made for Ferrari. But what I don't understand is that, why are people comparing this Lewis to the Schumacher that joined Ferrari at the end of 1995? This Lewis has passed his prime, imagine me comparing the Lewis that joined Mercedes to the Schumacher that joined Mercedes? if am correct Mercedes took over the 2009 championship winning chassis or car that Schumacher couldn't get a tune out of. |

chris81964:Lol. What are you smoking? The best car and his teammate can't scratch top 15. You're smoking woolies if you think Max would be dragging with Piastri and Lando Norris if they had even equal machinery never mind the superior one. This year's RBR was not a title winning car |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by omar22(m): 8:24am On Sep 09, 2025 |
A40:Agree, the RBR is not the best car, but you make it sound as if its a poor car, Yes Max performance was great, but not special, todays RBR reminds me of the Mclaren of the Lewis Hamilton days 2010-2012, very good straight-line, but poor cornering speed due to poor downforce. Max's win is no different to Lewis's 2012 win at Monza, But Gasly's win at Monza in an Alpha Tauri now that's special. Max in an equal Machinery with Piastri the only way he will beat Piastri is to crash into him, yes Max has the Indian sign over Lando because he seems weak. |

omar22:Two Championships in a Benetton before he went to Ferrari, is nowhere? Schumacher won his first Drivers' Championship in 1994. Driving the Benetton B194, which has been called the worst car to have won a Formula One World Championship and was difficult to drive..... |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by omar22(m): 7:37pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
budaatum:The Benetton had an illegal driver aid traction control system and also in 1994 Damon Hill was the #2 driver to both Prost and Senna who had to step in after the tragic death of Senna. The Ford Coswot V8 engine was lighter in weight which Benetton used in 1994, in 1995 Benetton switched to V10 Renault engine, which was the most powerful engine around, saying that Williams had a superior car, that's debatable. I meant Ferrari was nowhere until they were allowed unlimited testing |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by budaatum: 7:58pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
omar22:Well, you at least admit it wasn't Schumacher who was nowhere, but Ferrari, until Schumacher went there and took them somewhere to 5 championship however he could. So I rest. As to your unlimited testing, I'm going to put it down as your opinion which the facts do not support.

| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by omar22(m): 11:08pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
budaatum:Ferrari had its own test track, Fiorano, which allowed them to test their cars at any time, with no restrictions on mileage or frequency. The days when a team with a test track could make unlimited use of their facilities. When manufacturers were not told how many cylinders their engines could have, or how many engines they could use during the course of a season. When the drivers could rev those engines as high as they would go. When mechanics could work long into the night while their No1 driver stayed with them, sharing the task of fettling a piece of equipment with which he could win the next day’s race. I deal with facts and not hot air... Theres a race where Ferrari brought 17 engines to the race and rumour of a season where Ferrari used 47 engines. I’m sure I read that at Canada in 2002, The Michael had an engine failure at the end of the Sunday morning warmup, so they just put in a new one for the race. |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by budaatum: 11:26pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
Regardless, they were not allowed to test their current car, so? As for 47 engines, they'd needed to have had loads of failures to need to use that many, don't you think? And even if all those failures were in practice 1, 2 or 3, and none in qualifying or the race, it would still have costed them. But seriously, if you "deal with facts" as you claim, why are you presenting me with "rumours"? omar22:

A40:It is free space in which I can share my opinion without insults. When Vettel won for Torro Rosso, that was special. Max winning was not a stretch. |

omar22:Same Piastri that has needed a lot of good fortune and some team mago mago to be ahead of Norris. Stop gassing that kid. The Papaya are throwing him an Alley oop. Max wipes everyone on the grid with an equal car |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by budaatum: 5:44pm On Sep 13, 2025 |
A40:Have you been watching the Piastri I been watching, because I don't see any evidence for the above. |

| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by budaatum: 12:18pm On Sep 14, 2025 |
Thegamingorca:He stole those points! He walked up to superior skilled Norris and Verstappen and hit them over the head and stole every single one of those 34 points off them while they were sleeping, and his 34 point lead actual makes him last in the WDC. |

Piastri loves the wall, ending 34 consecutive race finishes. |

Keke Napep wins from start.

Keke napep still has to earn 69 race points to win wdc this year ![]() Why doesn't he just quit |
| Re: FORMULA ONE F1 Official SeasonThread - Revamped by budaatum: 6:16pm On Sep 21, 2025 |
Thegamingorca:He doesn't need to quit because driving a keke napep to the podium is an achievement he'd be recognised for which will earn him much money. Besides, does he look like a quiter to you? |

Not to diminish Russell's awesome Pole. I just must mention Lewis doing what he preached. Ella is reportedly an Italian living in London, and has been by Hamilton's side during his first season with Ferrari. https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/1059051/who-is-ella-meet-lewis-hamilton-f1-ferrari-press-officer/
