His mother in law died in an accident on that road and he refused to finish it.

To be truthful its not irrelevant. Why should road from Lagos to say Calabar/Abuja be passing different states? That's total waste of time and stress. There should be separate road for long stretch of travel

I travel from Lagos to/fro Abuja for business.. passing thru Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti/Ondo/Kogi to Abuja which you term inter-state roads are total outdated/waste of time.

Direct/coastal roads are much better, save time.. you know time is money.. Also open up communities.

In an European country, I travelled from one city to the capital, the road was just straight and decidated road, not going thru states.

so how many coastal roads are we going to build? Àbi na only Lagos deserve to get coastal road?

If I'm to go by ur assertions for fast travels, then we absolutely don't need coastal roads but rails. Spending 15trillion on coastal roads in 2025 is pure waste of money.

You should have stopped the building of the 2nd Niger bridge

Wonderful. Imagine, just imagine, if they could section of 10km by this road by 3 km to turn it to a wildlife reserve, filed with giraffe, elephants warthogs, rhinos etc. it will be a huge money spinner and stave to visit and treasure unlike yankari game reserve where tourist don't want to visit. Ondo is relatively safe, so why not. We really need a huge animal park game reserve along this coastal road.

There are more important things to invest in using the huge money they are spending on this project. Nobody is complaining about the distance from Lagos to Calabar and how long it currently takes to travel within these two cities as long as the existing roads are motorable.

There is something Tinubu is not saying about this project because the reasons you guys are providing for spending so much money on this project doesn't make sense. There is a hidden agenda he is not mentioning. Maybe he is using it to loot country. It would have been a nice project if the country was so rich and had so much spend.

See it this way:
1. It opens up that corridor to commerce and fee flow of human traffic which is good for Nigeria in many other ways.They are entitled to it.
2. It ensures South-South folks can access their space from the other parts of Nigeria without having to pass through the South-East that agitates for Biafra. Biafra just might come tomorrow and they will set out to annex minorities in the South-South. They have made no secret of that going by the grotesque maps of Biafra they have out there. It is strategic to put the alternative route in place NOW. You will recall how dangerous it has been for a while now to access the South-South passing through the South-East of Nigeria.

I wanted to align the benefit of the road with the economy of where you are from.

Projects like this are to open up the economies of communities along its path. Once completed, it provides shorter route-to-market for people from the costal part of Ondo to the market in Lagos and even export using the Lekki seaport.

I don't know if Ayedatiwa has been pulling his weight, but I can assure you that Tinubu will complete this project. Go and check his history, he doesn't have any uncompleted project. Not 1.

Must the Federal Government do everything for you people, what happened to your State Governments, why don't you hold them responsible for all of these and allow the Federal Government to focus on Federal Projects.

You are calling communities that feed the entire country shrub communities. The states where this project connects are Coastal states who form the bulk of those contributing to the revenue of this country.

Does the Abuja Kaduna rail benefit the entire country?
Does the 2nd Niger bridge benefit the entire country?

This project is to benefit those states feeding you. If you don't like it, that's your business.

This is a virgin land, I guess. That's going to be a great job. Ilaje kingdom has been sidelined for too long. I can now understand the reason they say coastal road will open up some places.

Gbam. Many towns will boom.

Road needs to be built on an incremental basis especially for countries that are road challenged like 9ja.

Some of the money would go towards maintenance and some towards new roads that is what you call development.

When you get into government you set your own priorities.
