Dangote stepped down as chairman from other businesses to focus on this refinery. Na him fit these associations plus NUPENG.

The cabals in the petroleum industry are beginning to crawl out of their hideouts into the neon lights of public view.

These Dubious-Men aka DAPPMAN, NUPENG, and their affiliates have been the hidden bloodsuckers perpetuating the fuel subsidy scam all the while.

These con men deal solely on the importation of petroleum products by having depots planted everywhere through which they continue to receive subsidy payments from the FG.

The arrival of the Dangote Refinery into the midstream and downstream sectors is therefore viewed as a real threat to their wantonly criminal economic survival.

This is why they continue to fight with Dangote for upsetting the applecart.

Come to think of it, Dangote is not the problem, the cabals are!

Now, they want to shift the burden of the much bastardized petroleum subsidy to Dangote through the backdoor.

For now dangote all the way.
Re: Dangote Refinery: DAPPMAN Demand N1.5trn Yearly Subsidy To Match Our Gantry Pric by opes:
Based on my understanding of this report, the marketers want to sell at their depots at the same price Dangote is selling at his gantry in order to attract patronage. So, they are asking Dangote for a discount. Dangote cannot be selling at 820 (for example), and they also buy from him at 820 and resell at the same price even after adding logistics costs, nobody would patronize them, only Dangote (Producer) where it is cheaper.
The difference (discount) they are asking/negotiating for is what this report is calling a subsidy

Quite apt... While Dangote maybe exposing the corruption in the system, make no mistake, the goal is as clear as day light. He has no competitor. All na time....
Doesn't he have competitors in cement? Trust me, if BUA brings his cement price to 5k today, everyone will dump Dangote cement for BUA cement.
Same way with this refinery thing, BUA refinery and others are springing up and in 2 years from now, BUA refinery will start operations, so where would Dangote get the oil monopoly from?
If I were NUPENG and DAPPMAN or whatever they are called, we will put money together and build our own refinery and stop patronising Dangote afterwards

See the DAPPMAN idiots. People who ate fat from our blood. They are all running helter...skelter since Dangote enter the market. They had better change line of business now that there is still time or they will die.

Why should he have competitor when you rather waste away instead of building your own refinery to compete with him or you only have enery to compete in hating him.

If you need somwone to hate on who enjoy a monopoly hate on Innoson.
Their matter tire me
With all the audio billionaires they always claim to have, none has come out to build a 1,000 BPD refinery so that Dangote won't have monopoly. To the best of my knowledge, FG and Dangote has never stopped anyone from building a refinery or cement to river Dangote and stop his so called monopoly

My question is, where was DAPMANN and NUPENG when Nigerian refineries were being mismanaged and looted? Why did they not go on strike or give the govt 21 days ultimatum to turn around the refineries? These guys are some big bellied frauds that are now behaving like an angry first wife. Where were you when your manager and directors were mismanaging the nation's refineries? They have Tinubu who doesn't have a godfather but himself a godfather to contend with. This was exactly what I expected from Buhari but out of the Blue, he brought the Daura's, Tunde, and others to Lord over him and Nigerians.

Haven't they be exporting? They should continue to export and leave Dangote alone to sell to those interested in buying from him.

If I ever leave Nigeria, it would be because of the miserable fellow citizens I share this country with, not the government. Nigerians are more evil than their leaders. Everyone in this country is factory fitted fraudster waiting for the right opportunity to strike, at the detriment of his fellow citizens.

If not for Dangote, those thieves would have made life harder for us in this country.
This is a patriotic, sincere and objective comment. I have always said it that 90% of we Nigerians are potential thieves waiting for opportunity to come our way. We complain bitterly when we're not the one benefiting from one form of fraudulent practice or the other.

Nigerians never wants to suffer. Why should it be a challenge to you when I reduce my price. If they import and it is cheaper, we will buy the cheap fuel. Dangote understands that, the marketers know this. The competition is good.
Let them keep reducing price abeg.

Many rich Nigerians made their money through rent seeking e.g forex subsidies and fraudulent fuel subsidies. Now that the playing field has been leveled, many can’t compete. Now we will know who are the real businessmen.
You took the word from my mouth. They just don't know how to do business without free government money. We need someone like Dangote in Farming too because I don't understand how imported rice is cheaper than home grown rice and farmers wants government to shut border so that they can hoard and up price

It's a sensational news from Dangote. Discount is now called subsidy. Let Dangote leak the memo they asked him to either absorb the discount or pass it on to Nigerians.

No reasonable person wants him to be a monopoly.

But...they are not refining anything. They are importing and that's where it ends. They are importing finished petroleum products and they intend to do so indefinitely. No reasonable person wants that either.

They should invest in this country and build refineries here. Then this conversation can be had properly.
