Zahra29:One is most surprised and certainly not amused by this appearance of loss of grip by a government which was 14 years a-waiting. One can only hope that they can turn things around. Maybe it is time for one to defect to Reform... |

Good day people, I have been trying to renew my passport using the NIS app and web but it has been futile. After registering with the app, it is supposed to send me an OTP to confirm my email address, but i never receive the OTP (my email address is correct). Tried renewing from the webiste, but when i input my NIN and date of birth, an error message appears "We could not reach NIMC servers to verify your NIN. The issue will be reported to NIMC for resolution. Kindly try again later". This has been the case since the weekend. Please how else do i go about renewing my passport? Thank you. |

Guys and Gals, be very careful out there in this our UK......... My daughter was a victim of sim swap fraud today...... If you're ever a victim of sim swap scam, first thing to do is freeze all your bank accounts and credit card accounts, linked to your sim card....... Unfortunately, you might not know you're a victim of sim swap scam...... The moment your sim card seems dead, with no network coverage + data...... Become very vigilant, because in that moment of imposed blackout, they would drain your account........ Solution : Seek closest WiFi, to ensure all is in order........ |

Gurus in the house, I urgently need your help regarding my situation. We are a family of five currently residing in the UK on a Health and Care Worker Visa. My wife, who is the main applicant, has recently been issued a second Certificate of Sponsorship by her employer for the next three years. We are now due to extend our old visas, which expire in November 2025. Unfortunately, my passport and the passports of our kids have expired. We have already started the renewal process in London, but it is unlikely that the new passports will be ready before we submit our visa applications to Home office. These are my questions : 1. Will the expiration of our passports affect the processing of our visa applications? Will it cause delays or require additional documentation? 2. Are there any risks or consequences of not updating our passport details or applying with expired passports? 3. What supporting documentation should we provide if our passports are expired at the time of application? 4. How might the expiration of our passports affect the application timeline? Is it still possible to complete the process within the expected timeframe? We are quite worried about the possible impact this may have and would greatly appreciate your advice on the best way forward. |

folaosemen:1. No 2.No 3. NIN 4. The same answer for 1 question. During the application process use future date in place of passport expiration date so as to proceed with the application HOWEVER, you need to explain this in additional info section AND attach a copy of the expired passport and your NIN |

My dear UK people. Quick question please (I seem to get conflicting info). Child has been in the UK for 6 years as Dependant of Father. Child was born in Naija. Father naturalised and became citizen in February. Father applied for ILR for child in March. Child received ILR in August. Question(s): 1. When can father put in application for Child's registration as British Citizen? 2. Is it true (I need to be absolutely sure as this is where the confusion comes in). Is it true that after ILR, children (of British citizens) do not have to wait 12 months before applying for registration as British citizen? Anyone with any experiince of this at all or with good knowledge? Please help. PS: The information is not very clear on the gov.uk webpages. Thank you very much. |

Hi. Has any been in Nigeria recently? How safe is it? I have been here just a year but home sick. Any advice? |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by KOVIC19COVID20: 6:10pm On Sep 19, 2025 |
rock86:Not safe at all. All the people you left just over a year ago have either been kidnapped or maimed. Bandits have overtaken everywhere, except AsoRock and Bourdillion in Lagos. All the people in my (and your) village have ran away to cCameroun and Cotonou and Niger. Advice: Remain in the UK. Don't go anywhere ohhh. If you become too home sick, tell your NHS trust to sponsor your trip. They will attach some MI-5 agents to escort you to Nigeria. PS: Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD) is a mental health condition characterized by a chronic pattern of attention-seeking behaviors and excessive emotional displays. |

Hi everyone! I'm a new student in London looking for a roommate to share accommodation with. Since rent can be pretty steep in the city, I'm hoping to find someone to split costs with. If you're interested, feel free to message me!" |

justwise:Despite all the recent chaos in the UK, I almost forgot she was there. It seems the media has decided not to give her appropriate airtime and instead have christened Nigel as the de-facto opposition leader. Aside her statutory debate time in parliament/PM questions and scattered interviews, the media defaults to asking Farage to offer opposing views to govts policies as though they are the opposition Weeks back when I heard her complaining about racism, it became clear that things have come full circle for her. Oddly, last week, there was a clip of her refusing to condemn Musk's call for violence on our streets. Ultimately, I keep asking... why would the traditional Tory vote Kemi over Nigel |

Raalsalghul:Stop telling us to build Nigeria they said, we don’t want to hear it they said. No worry Nigel and the true owner of the land go remind you 👇🏾 He explained: "We will not only say that these people do not qualify for indefinite leave to remain, we will abolish indefinite leave to remain as a category in this country." The Reform UK leader said the anticipated cost of the more than 800,000 people expected to qualify for leave to remain in the next three years is £230 billion, what he described as a “truly eye-watering sum of money.” |

lavida001:What about the ILR fees folks will pay to apply, is that not an eye-watering sum of money too? So folks will still lose their settled status after their money has been collected from them. The Reform Party is just a gang of fraudsters, just making mouth, let them try their luck sha! |
