Standards are generally falling everywhere including West famed for intelligence and brilliance but worse in some regions.

Single student from North being best overall... Unlikely but not impossible. Being overall best = they had better averages than entire country. Trust me it's a lie.

Easier for a beggar on the streets to beat Elon Musk in Richest Man rankings than for Kano to get this for real.

It's either this is emilokan results meaning kanolokan or its quota system. On a serious note, things are improving in the North. I'm sure their leaders also are tired of the status quo and just like China, when the sleeping giant, Northern Nigeria arise, no other Nigeria can come close. The North will rise very soon and we southerner will be shocked

You are getting it wrong entirely. That someone cannot speak English doesn't mean he/she won't be able to read or write perfectly. Similarly, thar someone is good at speaking doesn't mean he/she is good at writing and reading.

A lot of factors may contribute to students' inability to speak. But so far the person can read and write, speaking can be easily attained when the person shortly lives in an environment where English is spoken regularly.

NECO is a test test your cognitive and writing skill more than your speaking skills. Ability to speak English language is not in n anyway a test of intelligence

This is good and very recommendable. This goes to show that the state government is prioritizing education. And I think a girl from there won the 1st position in world English language competition.

Very soon international universities will stop accepting Nigeria students because of corruption in its exam body , how can you use politics to start marking secondary school exam papers, you mark some state down just to prove a point. This NECO should be reported, everything is corruption in Nigeria. Nonsense.

As my people will say, when you are tired of reacting like a "reactor", you will read the article again S L O W L Y and then realise what was actually said.

The official claimed that Kano State had the most students that scored a credit concurrently in English and Maths, but not once did he state they had the highest success rate.

Simply put, if Bayelsa state sent only 1000 students to do NECO, and all those 1000 achieved credits, they would still come last by the man's limited measure ( I am certain he did it on purpose).

That's why if you look at his "success" chart, the states with the highest populations, Kano, Lagos and Oyo are top 3.

So my southern brother, no need to declare war yet, given his audience, it's clear he gave his figures that way to appease them.

Also, a lot of those Kano students will still be southerners anyway, so you can sheathe your sword
