The church would not have grown big if the founder had not handed to him. You should think that way too.
There were a lot of churches that existed during that time, but you could speak of any that meet the level of RCCG.
But what can we say about quality of Christian lives in all honesty. The church has truly grown in terms of population and edifices but little to be desired in terms of Christlikeness

I listened to this video because of that beautiful and eloquent woman. That interviewer is a mess of himself. Just stammering all through with nonsense mannerisms
Daejumong:
Late Rev Akindayomi’s daughter(Pastor Titi) speaks out. In a youtube video she said; ‘Some Pastors dont know my dad is the founder of the church. My father never gave my mum any position in the church. He took care of outsiders even more than his children. He promised to bequeath(will) Bibles to his kids and that was what he did . How many pastors can do that? His legacy must not die and that is why I started a foundation in his name.’

Food for thought
- Would Pastor Kumuyi, Bishop Oyedepo or any founding pastor desire to be treated like Rev Akindayomi?
- Would you really blame any founder who handed over to family or his positioning family to take over when u are not sure of how things would turn out when u are gone?
- Can RCCG and Pastor Adeboye do more?

Is it the church that was founded on the day of Pentecost or which one?
Your father is not a church founder my sister.

Have you seen pastor adeboye last son mansion inside the RCCG camp? White and quit an edifice.

What the daughter of the founder wants is equal representation, the founder should be celebrated in such a way that his name should be in the lips of every member of RCCG. His children shd get the pecks of the church as much as pastor adeboye children are getting.
You are spot on and I don't believe that they are asking for too much.

I might not know this woman but I knew one the daughters of the founder, a colleague at work way back and married to a pastor. It was when she died, I get to know who she was, very humble and I have not heard her say anything about her being a founder person.

She was buried in Ikoyi Vaults, and that day I knew the full weight of RCCG people, even Baba Adeboye, wife and children came, Osibanjo also came. She was buried like a VIP even though her death was painful.

My point is that the children of the founder of RCCG are not neglected. They keep low profile but most of them are pastors in RCCG.
The person you are quoting has a point. The truth is, most members of RCCG including even their pastors don't know anything about the founder of the church. That is not good enough. I see no reason the church authority cannot make it mandatory for every branch of the church to have the founder's picture mounted on the wall. Honour should be given to whom honour is due. I just hope the family has been receiving some percentage of whatever revenue the church is generating monthly or annually. Otherwise, it would be a double lose for the founder

Bible specifically says women should not be pastors ... no exceptions. Why would God then tell a woman to be a Pastor? Is she telling us God is a hypocrite? ..or she was told by some spirit who deceived her? Even so ...if he is following the Bible ..she should discern it wasn't God who was speaking to her. Any female Pastor is not of God period. If her father was the founder of the church...then he played his part and moved on ...legacy wasn't his concern.... he's done with planet Earth.

Madam, I understand the angle you are coming from. But you must realize that when your father handover to Adeboye, RCCG was just any other random road side church. Adeboye turn it into a global brand, so do not be bitter if your family are not too representing.
But I urge the RCCG leadership to honour the founder.
If possible renaming Redeemers' university after the late founder.

This is what Jesus said:

"A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce fine fruit" Matthew 7:18

Definitely the man's mission is not from God that's why all those following him (fruit) are materially not spiritually inclined.
Nna, this ya logic is very correct like Houthis. Please keep it up🎉🎉🎉

How do you gauge being spiritually inclined? How does being materialistic mean the Mission is not from God especially looking at the church in Laodecia.
The church in laodecia did what is wrong and Jesus said he will trash them {Revelations 3:14-16} therefore if the other man started not materialistic but the whole thing now turns materialistic it means his teachings wasn't grounded on the truth from God's word that's why everything changed by the test of time! Matthew 7:16-18

Not at all... For instance Assemblies of God has got no founder in Nigeria because she was brought in by missionaries into Nigeria.. Hence Assemblies of God Nigeria and no one can lay claim of it.. But that can't be said of most of the pentecostal churches... However there is nothing wrong with someone being a founder or visioner of the church... Just give honor to who it is due...
Is it AG that had leadership crises about 20 years ago you're talking about?

There's a difference!
Christians in laodecia became proud due to being successful in material things but in this case these church is promoting material things unlike what the founder had in mind!

Laodecia
A city in the western part of Asia Minor, the ruins of which lie near Denizli, about 150 km (90 mi) E of Ephesus. It was known earlier as Diospolis and Rhoas but was evidently rebuilt in the third century B.C.E. by the Seleucid ruler Antiochus II and named after his wife Laodice. Situated in the fertile valley of the Lycus River, Laodicea lay at the junction of major trade routes and was linked by roads with cities such as Ephesus, Pergamum, and Philadelphia.Laodicea enjoyed great prosperity as a manufacturing city and as a banking center. Indicative of the city’s great wealth is the fact that when it suffered extensive earthquake damage in the reign of Nero, it was able to rebuild without any financial assistance from Rome.

Unfortunately, not being educated affected your father's decision of handing over the church to a non family members.

Adeboye won't make such mistake

Dont expect Pastor Kumuyi or Bishop oyedepo to do the same,.
Every preachers has is message and the pattern they operate,
When God always give instructions and directions on how to go on a given task,
For instance, in the days of Isaac some are rushing to Egypt
But God told him not to go
Don't try to run another man's race

These complaints from the children are not good enough for the image of RCCG.
I am sure they are comfortable, they only want recognition of their father's legacy. Which is not out of line but may be sensitive at this time and with all the work Baba Adeboye has done

Even Pastor Enoch Adeboye is not likely subscribe to handing over to an outsider. He is going to make it his family business. There is difference between kingdom of God seeker and kingdom of the world affluence seeker.

If you happen to be the founders daughter you will be the loudest to echo your voice.....

Majority of RCCG members and some pastors don't actually know the founder of the church truly and there is no visible monument or structure named after him around the church...

Every member of CAC knows Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, every member of Cherubim and Seraphim knows Moses Orimolade and the list goes on
It is because RCCG was at best a ragtag church when Adeboye took over. It was poor and barely known anywhere. Unlike CAC and C&S that saw glory days in the years in their founders, RCCG became the sensation it is today in the days of Adeboye. So it is not unusual that many people don't know or accord much honour to the founder.

Let's learn to put history in proper perspective. As far as history will remember, Adeboye is and will always remain the man of the match in RCCG. No leader will ever be able to dwarf what he has achieved. The CAC and C&S you mention have never had any subsequent leaders that did better than their founders. This here is the crux of the matter.

Afterall Adeboye, every now and then, still gives credit to the founder of RCCG. This should suffice.

Is the church to give her billions? I don't understand! As long as she's ok, that's fine. She can start a foundation in her father's name and church should support her where necessary, that's beautiful.
If you're called to ministry and it booms, you'll know if the mantle is in your child which should naturally be, you will know if God wants your child to continue with the legacy which should naturally be.
But when there is disobedience, the mantle can cease and the ministry will ultimately suffers growth.
Man of God passing ministry to their children is natural because God mantle is through the generations unless God gives a different direction specifically. If the man of God disobeys it will show in time and won't tarry. So that aspect is never an issue!
It can never be an issue!!

Madam, your father has done you well... He has given you the greatest gift a father can give to his children...
He deliberately removed you and your siblings from the evil public eyes and allowed that to be the burden of Pa Adeboye... Now you have grown and have lived life without any scandal that can destroy your relationship with you and your God.

Nothing concerns God with whether or not everyone knows that your father owns the RCCG brand...

What is most important is does God know you, does He know the numbers of souls you have won for His kingdom...
I tire for her matter. I even think she's exaggerating. Pastor Adeboye regularly talks about Pa Akindayomi. There's no redeemed magazine or pamphlet that does not contain the man's picture or the history of the church. I absolutely do not think any RCCG pastor today does not know it's history. I wish she furnished us with evidence about this her misyarn. A movie was even made clearly showing how the church was founded.
