For those that have not got their decision, you can log into Irish immigration portal and check your status - particularly the application stage and the last time they checked your documents. |

I tried creating an account when the link was shared here few weeks ago. 👇🏾https://portal.irishimmigration.ie/en/applications/ But there's no option for 'Nigeria' at the point of selecting Nationality. Is there any way one can bypass this? Auditt: |

Maybe you have to check your browser. I registered successfully. I used opera browser, desktop version. Maybe you should screenshot the option to select nationality. |

I tried it again now and it just went through. Unfortunately I have to verify my identity via the ID PAL app and I don't have my passport with me. That's the only valid ID I have. Was that the process you went through before you could complete the registration and view your application status? Auditt: |

I used my driver’s license to complete the registration. |

I did my biometrics on July 17th, and have not received my visa yet, I have called and emailed, still same response of the application in queue. Is there anyone who also applied July 17th. My school's deadline to resume is September 29 and classes have started in University of Galway. I have tried that immigration portal, it keeps saying my phone number is unreachable. Hoping for us to receive our approvals this week. It would not pass this week o |

Auditt:Please I'm confused about something Hope the ID-pal verification isn't the one delaying some of us? Is it mandatory to register on ID-pal before a decision is made? Because I've just been thinking if there's something I didn't do right |

Unfortunately, I don't have a valid DL so I've abandoned the process. Last last all we want is for them to release the visa and passport in good time to enable us meet up with resumption deadline Auditt: |

Chiamyugwu:I’m not sure why they’ll ask that. All they’ve been replying is application is in queue. It’s ridiculous the amount of time they’re taking to give decisions especially cause they know it’s September and people are trying to resume |

Just provide the grace period to them Laurapopping: |

Segunagagu:Good day everyone! Please I need all the help I can get. I'm trying to relocate to Ireland, so here's the issue. I only have my waec and neco results. And my family can't sponsor me, so there's someone willing to help me relocate. I applied for international foundation program, but I couldn't push through with my visa application. Cause the school agent said that only my family can be my sponsor and that I've so much gap in my academics year. So I'm asking is there any means the person can be my sponsor financially and my parents would be my sponsor on my documents? Thank you and I'm sorry if the message is lengthy and not direct. Thank you. |

This group has been quite quiet lately, and I sense that our spirits are low. Has anyone received any feedback from the embassy? I've heard the same thing this week: "It's still in queue for processing." My school resumed on the 22nd, and I'm trying to stay as positive as possible, but it's difficult. I feel like my life is on hold; I can't do anything because I'm waiting for a decision to be made. I really don't like how this situation has put so much of my life on pause. Sending a virtual hug to everyone in the same predicament as I am. I pray that the outcome of this waiting period will be favorable. 🙏 |

Hello everyone, please if my visa decision is still pending and school already asked me defer my admission, what do I do? Also what if my visa was later approved? What do I do? |

Cindy101:It's not easy fr, I got a mail from school today telling me to defer my admission till next year |

Shally233:I’m hoping and praying we get messages today regarding approvals or passport delivery messages. Then maybe use that to stall the school citing you just receive the visa and would be in Ireland. God would do it |

If your school has an advisor dedicated to your country or region, you might need to speak to the person to know your options. There are so many dimensions to this delay. Deferring means you'll have to reapply for another visa for the session you're deferring to. That's another time of waiting and money to be spent. Just think through all the questions you have and ask the person and also ask for advice on what your best options are Shally233: |

1. School should give you deadline to resume. 2. if the visa decision is approved before the deadline, then travel to Ireland 3. if the visa decision comes say 1 week after deadline, email the school to let them know and if they can give you grace since its just 1 week past...They should allow you to join classes online for now. 4. If school is deferring they would have sent a letter 5. Embassy may ask for that letter, if they do, then send to them and there would be no other option but wait till January Shally233: |
